Taehyung wiped his hand on a cloth, breathing deeply as he adjusted himself and returned his focus to the screen. Y/n had settled into bed, her face illuminated by the soft glow of a bedside lamp as she fiddled with her phone. She was so close, so unaware of the danger lurking just a camera lens away.
He leaned back in his chair, his eyes half-lidded as he traced the outline of her face on the screen, a dark smile tugging at his lips. He could almost hear her heartbeat through the feed, steady yet fragile, like a bird trapped in a cage.
"What's going through that pretty little head of yours, hm?" Taehyung muttered, his voice dripping with condescension. He knew she was trying to forget him, to push him out of her mind, but he could see the cracks in her resolve. Her fingers fidgeted, her eyes darting to the door, as if expecting someone to walk in at any moment.
He laughed softly, knowing full well that no one would come to save her. She was alone, completely at his mercy, whether she realized it or not. The thought thrilled him to no end. He relished the idea of her lying there, restless, perhaps wondering if she was truly safe or if he was lurking in the shadows, ready to pounce.
As she finally put her phone aside and pulled the covers over herself, Taehyung watched her closely. Her breathing slowed, her eyes fluttering shut as sleep began to take hold. He could see the subtle rise and fall of her chest, the way her lips parted slightly as she drifted into unconsciousness.
"Sweet dreams, Y/n," he whispered to the screen, his voice barely audible but filled with a twisted affection. "You'll see soon enough that there's no escaping me. You can run, you can hide, but in the end, you'll come crawling back to me. And when you do... oh, I'll make sure you never leave."
Taehyung leaned forward, pressing his lips to the screen in a mock kiss, his eyes never leaving her sleeping form. He savored the moment, relishing in the knowledge that he held all the power. She was his, whether she knew it or not, and it was only a matter of time before she succumbed to the darkness he embodied.
For now, he would let her sleep, let her believe she was safe. But soon enough, he would strike, and when he did, there would be no turning back. She would be his, completely and utterly, and no one—not even she herself—would be able to change that.
With one last lingering look, Taehyung shut off the screen, plunging the room into darkness. The only sound was his steady breathing, filled with satisfaction and anticipation. Y/n may have escaped his grasp for now, but he knew it wouldn't be long before she was back in his arms, where she truly belonged.
He leaned back in his chair, the room now enveloped in an eerie silence, save for the distant hum of the electronics around him. His gaze was still fixated on the screen, though the image of Y/n had faded into the darkness of her room.
His thoughts, however, remained locked on her, the memory of her innocent, unsuspecting face fueling the twisted fantasies that churned in his mind.
He let out a slow breath, his eyes narrowing as he replayed the morning's events. The way she had flinched when he touched her lips, the subtle tremor in her voice when she had spoken to him—it was all so deliciously intoxicating.
