Jacksons POV

I had been watching her the whole night and she didn't have a clue. I studied her facial expression and body language.  She didn't want to be here. Most of her time was spent dodging people. Being short had its advantages. She could simply hide behind people and use them as a shield to get away from those she didn't want to speak to. But when she did get caught up by someone she was good at putting on a fake smile and outgoing act. But there were little tells I picked up on. When uncomfortable she swayed in her spot, or fiddled with her clutch. And the second she could walk away she'd blow out a puff of air in relief.  All night I kept trying to think of a good enough reason to approach her. But nothing seemed good enough. As I watch her sitting alone she's looking around the room with purpose. She stops hers search once her eyes land on mine. Was she looking for me??  Her head snaps down and I can see a blush rise from her chest to her cheeks. She downs her champagne, grabs her clutch and walks my way.
Holy shit! Is she approaching me? The sway of her hips have me mesmerized, and I can just imagine her sexy body walking towards me naked.  Fuck.  I've been sporting a semi all night watching her.  When she's right in front of me I freeze.

"Jackson"

"Jax"  I cut her off.  She nods and starts again.

"Sorry, Jax. Do you think you could sneak me out of here and take me home?"   BINGO! I try not to freak out and internally do a victory dance. I look around the room to see all the other guards are in place and John is busy with Celeste and their guest. Knowing this is my one chance, I needed to take it. I take hold of her tiny hand and pull her to the back door where my car is parked.  Luck was finally on my side that night.

Since I watched her close the door a week ago, shes been on my mind. I can't stop thinking about her no matter what I do. A few times John had me drive him to her house I hoped to catch a glimpse of her but nothing.  It's driving me mad. I've gone to her school but never get a full view of her.

I just keep praying that I can get thru this next week and the wedding without losing my shit over this girl.

I get into my office and get right to work on my laptop like every other day before I met her. I get my daily updates from my guys, and sign into my emails.

From:John

Jax, whenever you get the chance I need to have a word with you. Something important is coming up and I'll need you present for it.

John

Nice! Some actual work will do me good. I need something big to put my focus on so I can forget about her for a while.

After going through the rest of my emails and checking cameras to make sure everything is up and running, and angles haven't been tampered with, I lock up my desk and laptop and make my way up to Johns office.

Stepping out of the elevator the first person I see is his dumbass receptionist. Jenny? Janny? I can't remember. She's not important.

"Hi Jax! You can go right in." I walk by ignoring her like she's not even there. Maybe one day she'll get the hint. I walk in not bothering to knock.

"Hey bud, thanks for coming up so quick." I nod and slouch in the chair in front of his desk and wait for him to speak. "So like I mentioned, there's something important coming up and I'll need all hands on deck for tomorrow night." I nod. "It's Celeste's bachelorette party and they are going to a club." I sit up a little straighter now. He's peeked my interest. "I've had Celeste make a list of all who will be attending." He picks up a folder, reaching over the desk to hand it to me. Once I sit back I open the folder to find photo copies of each girl's State I.D. I flip through them and freeze when I flip to find Abby's. I turn the folder to face him. "Relax Jackson, I know you aren't a fan of hers, but it's Celestes sister, and" I slam the the folder down on his desk and close my eyes. He thinks I don't like her? Does she think that? Damn it I'm gonna have to speak now. I take a deep breath before looking up to find him pushed back in his seat with surprise. I let out a sigh and shake my head.
