*With Lucy*
Lucy moved her head, groaning. Her head was pounding and she looked around, disoriented and confused. Her vision was blurry, and her ears were ringing. A face appeared in front of her.
"Hi, Lucy. Do you know who I am?"
"T...Tom?" Lucy mumbled.
"Yes, that's right, my love." Tom knelt down in front of her, squeezing her wrists. Lucy winced. "Don't worry, my beautiful girl. You were wearing some pretty bracelets earlier to keep you here with me." Lucy groaned, her head feeling dizzy as she slumped back, losing consciousness. "Hey, I think it's time for your medicine, don't you?" Lucy nodded her head faintly. Tom left the room, and covered the entrance with the bookcase as he always did. However, as he was about to finish moving it, he heard sirens outside. Before he could completely cover the entrance, SWAT burst in.
*With Tim*
SWAT kicked down the door, Tim following close behind. They apprehended the suspect, and so he started the search for Lucy. He just hoped they weren't too late. Throughout the search, Tim found the photos Tom had taken of him and Lucy, causing Tim to feel a new level of rage. Lucy was clearly under the influence of something in those photos; how could someone be that sick to do something that? Angry, Tim stormed towards Tom and grabbed him by the shoulders."Tim!" Angela shouted.
"Where is she?" He yelled into Tom's face. And he laughed. Actually laughed.
"She's happy with me. So happy she shed her old life for me!" He laughed hysterically.
"What have you done?!" Tim shouted, shoving Tom out of his grip. He paced back and forth looking for any sign of where Lucy might be. Finally, he saw it. "There!" He walked over to the bookcase, noticing an abnormality in the wall. With Nolan's help, they pushed the bookcase further along the wall, exposing a hidden door.
"You shouldn't go in there... you'll scare her!" Tom shouted, seemingly genuinely concerned. It made Tim want to go beserk, but he reigned himself him; getting to Lucy was his top priority. He pulled the door open, rushing in.
"Lucy!" He shouted, instantly rushing over to her. "Lucy! Hey, stay with me!" He said, realising that something was very, very wrong with her, her head rolling back. He put a hand behind her head, whilst Angela opened Lucy's eyes and shined a flashlight into them.
"She's high on something, her pupils are different sizes, she might have a concussion too. We need an ambulance now." Nolan nodded, calling for one.
"T..." Lucy mumbled, slipping back into consciousness.
"Hey, hey, Luce. I'm right here." Tim grabbed her hand, squeezing it lightly.
Lucy groaned, feeling hot and cold at the same time. She started shivering, breaking out in a cold sweat. "T...T..." She mumbled, trying desparately to warn whoever was with her that something was wrong within her. She squeezed the person's hand, hoping it was hard enough to actually get them to notice. It was. Tim looked at her.
"Hey, I'm right here, Lucy. I know, something's wrong. Help is on the way, okay? Just... Just stay with me, Lucy." Tim said, tears forming in his eyes. He blinked them away, refusing to let himself break when Lucy needed him.
Meanwhile, Angela had been working to remove the binds keeping Lucy in the chair. She finally removed them, and Tim laid her down on the floor and onto her side in case she vomited. Suddenly, Tom came running in and knelt down in front of Lucy, shoving something in her mouth before Tim was on top of him and dragging him away from her.
"What the hell did you do?" Tim yelled, rushing back over to Lucy who seemed... perkier and more alert. Enraged, he looked back at Tom. "What did you give her?!"
"Her happy pill, she'll feel much better now. I've increased her dosage, I just want her to be happy." Tom said, smiling and laughing. He genuinely seemed to think he was helping her. As Tom had said, Lucy did seem happier. She was sitting up, a wide smile on her face.
"It's a party!" Lucy exclaimed, laughing. She stood up, clearly unsteady on her feet. Tim rushed forward, supporting her.
"Lucy, I need to sit back down, can you do that for me?" Tim said, trying to stay calm so as not to scare Lucy.
"Yeah! I'm... excellent ssssitter." Lucy said, her words already becoming slurred. She threw herself into the chair Tim directed her to, unaware of how forceful she was being. Lucy, however, felt on top of the world. "Ssssee?" She said, laughing.
Tim smiled sadly at her. "You're doing a great job, Luce. Stay here, okay?" He walked away from Lucy towards Angela, Grey,Nolan and Harper, who had just arrived. "Where is the ambulance?!"
"On its way." Grey reassured Tim.
"That's not good enough! We have no idea what she's on right now!"
"I've never seen a drug have this effect on a person before, are we sure this is common drug?" Angela asked.
"Maybe it's a designer drug?" Nolan pointed out.
"I've just called narcotics, they'll be here soon" Harper said.
"Great. In the mean time, Harper and Lopez, I want you to interrogate Mr Walker and find out everything you can." Grey instructed. "Tim, Nolan, you stay with Lucy. Keep her awake and alert. And be careful. We don't know what this drug could do to her."
"Yes, Sir." Tim and Nolan replied. They went back over to Lucy, who seemed more panicked than she had a few minutes ago.
"W-Who are you?!" She stuttered. Tim's heart broke a little more.
"It's me, Lucy. It's Tim! And Nolan, you remember us, right?"
"W-Where's T-Tom?" She asked, looking around. "Where a-am I?" Her breaths quickened, and she was sweating profusely again. She was in fight-or-flight mode, Tim saw it in her eyes.
"Nolan, walk away. She feels overwhelmed, don't you Lucy?" She nodded, cautious and scared.
Nolan did as Tim told him, and went to help Grey coordinate everyone. Instantly, Lucy calmed down a bit. "It's just you and me, Lucy. What did Tom do to you?"
"He... We... live together?" She said, very unsure of herself. She remembered what Tom had told her, but she felt heavy... tired...
"What?" Tim asked. What other lies had Tom told her? "Lucy, this is going to be hard for you to hear, but that isn't true. Tom abducted you. Now, I'm going to help you. Is that okay, Lucy?" He asked, but he didn't know if he would be able to take it if she said no.
Instead, she nodded. Well, Tim thought she nodded. Lucy's head drooped down, as if she wasn't able to support herself anymore. "Lucy... Lucy!" Tim started to yell as he dove forward to catch her as the rest of her body leaned forward too, heading towards the floor.
