A few hours later, Tim and Lucy were lying in her bed, panting and trying to catch their breath. Lucy looked over at him, smiling shyly. Despite how intimate the two of them had just been, there was something awkward and raw about the part after that always threw Lucy.

"That was..." Lucy trailed off, recounting everything that had just happened between them. It made her happier beyond belief, beyond words. Tim understood though.

"Yeah..." Tim sighed, laughing softly. He looked over at Lucy, his eyes full of love and admiration for the woman lying next to him. Lucy leaned on Tim's chest, drawing lazy circles on it.

"Do you... regret anything?" Lucy tentatively asked, scared to hear the answer.

Tim's face crumpled as he saw Lucy's fears laid clearly across hers. "Of course not. Do you have amy idea how long I've wanted this?"

Tim's answer put a huge smile on Lucy's face, relief coursing through her body. "Good, because I don't know what I would have done if you'd felt differently."

"Oh, so you admit that you've been pining after me." Tim teased, smirking.

Lucy's mouth dropped. "What?"

"So, the truth comes out after all this time. Lucy Chen has had a crush on me since she was my boot." Tim said, knowing how much this was getting under her skin and revelling in that fact.

"Oh my God! You are so full of it!" She said, throwing a nearby pillow at him. He caught it and threw it back, using the oppurtunity to pin Lucy down and climb on top of her. Lucy went a deep shade of red, enjoying the sight of Tim above her.

"Maybe, but that doesn't make it less true." Tim whispered, playfully nipping Lucy's ear as his voice reached a low growl that made Lucy's head go empty.

"Well, you are a very handsome boy. How is anyone meant to resist?" Lucy murmered.

"Truer words have never been spoken." Tim agreed.

They fell into a comfortable silence, each wrapped in their own thoughts whilst admiring the other. Suddenly, Lucy sat up.

"What? What's wrong?" He asked, sitting up too.

"What are we going to do at work?!" Lucy asked, worry creeping into her voice.

"Oh, I... I hadn't thought about it." Tim admitted.

"Neither had I... Sorry, I've killed the moment, haven't I?" Lucy said, embarrassed. Her eyes were darting back and forth, and Tim sensed her zoning out. He put his hand over hers, grounding her and bringing her back to the present.

"Hey, it's okay. We need to talk about it anyway. One of us... could get a new position? As long as we're not in the same chain of command, there wouldn't be an issue with us dating." Tim said, thinking of different solutions to their problems.

"It should be me who moves to a different position. I'm only a P2, you're a sergant. There's more oppurtunities for me whereas you'd probably have to take a demotion. Plus, my move would raise less questions." Lucy reasoned.

Tim looked at her, confused. "Questions?"

"About why you've taken a demotion. People will figure out it's because you're dating another cop, and she'd have to be in your chain of command, and they'd figure out that it's me, and then they'd question all of my past progress, all of your evaluations, and they might even question my future promotions..." Lucy trailed off, looking up at Tim who had an amused look in his eyes. She smiled, embarrassed. "Don't say anything, okay? I already know."

Tim smiled, feigning innocence and confusion. "I don't even know what you mean."
