personality:
Tyler loves sports. He considers himself a pro-level player in hockey, football, basketball, tennis, gold, cricket, handball, shuffleboard, badminton, bocce ball, horseshoes, thumb wrestling and a few more he couldn't think off off hand. Unfortunately, his many coaches have different opinions of his skill level. Tyler loves anything that involves throwing, catching, hitting, bouncing or a combo of all the above. His gym teacher consistently gives Tyler an E for effort, but always keeps the First Aid Kit handy. He thinks that Tyler has a lot of enthusiasm and drive, but that talent and coordination are not his strong points. Tyler is competitive, but prides himself on his friendliness, too. When he's not throwing a ball back and forth, he can be found hanging out with his many friends. Tyler is stoked to be a part of Total Drama Island. He loves the fact that there will be a variety of wild challenges to test his skills, so he's psyched! While he may never be a real pro, he always looks the part. Thanks to his rich and famous sportscaster Dad, (who is totally hooked up with all the major sponsors), Tyler is always outfitted in top-of-the-line logos. Tyler's Dad is proud that his boy made it onto the show and expects him to WIN! WIN! WIN! Tyler is under a lot of pressure, but isn't worried. He feels he'll do okay. If nothing else, he'll look swank in those track suits.
headcannons:
He and and Lindsay are still a healthy couple to this day, and them briefly breaking up turned out to only be a rumor. Lindsay did forget his name in front of his parents at one point, but they quickly reconciled and still remain devoted to each other.
He and Leshawna eventually got to compete in a second season of Ridonculous Race, and placed even higher than Owen and Noah did, and are now closer than ever as a result.
Aside from Leshawna and Lindsay, Tyler has also maintained contact with the likes of Harold, Cody, Owen, Noah, DJ and Trent. He's also tried contacting Alejandro, but he always keeps ignoring any of his PM's/follow requests.
Along with Bend It Like Beckham (his favorite movie of all time), he also enjoys watching many other sports and romantic comedy films in his free time (especially with Lindsay).
He also has a self-proclaimed "extreme" music taste, including genres such as metal, rap, punk, and even some EDM and pop.
His fear of chickens stems from a horror movie he once saw with a giant chicken monster, that made him traumatized.
Tyler recovers from pain very quickly, and he's gotten hurt so many times to the point he can't feel pain unless it's really severe (this is largely due to his body adapting to it after all the injuries he has gone through).
Tyler is naturally talented when it comes to things that involve his hands, so he's actually pretty good at instruments like drums and keys, but sports remain his biggest passion.
While Tyler sucks at most games, he still really enjoys playing them. One of the reasons is because he can't injure while playing them, unless he gets angry (which hardly ever happens, cause he's an epic good sport gamer).
Tyler was cut every year from the basketball team, and only received participation awards in Track & Field, but was exceptional as a member of the rock climbing club, thanks to his tremendous finger/grip strength.
Despite his lack of skill in most sports, his enthusiastic, determined, and positive attitude still made him very well-liked in his school. Yes, there are a few folks who hate him and would prefer if he stops playing, but most people still think he's a pleasant person to be around. Tyler is also a fan of extreme Japanese competitions, with Ninja Warrior being his favorite. He's mastered a lot of the Third Stage obstacles thanks to his upper-body strength, but is currently working on his lower body and coordination that's required for many of the other obstacles.
His father is a sportscaster, while his mother is a professional fitness trainer with a popular YouTube channel. Both are good-natured people who support Tyler in his passion (sports), even if he's not that good. In fact, his coordination and skills are exactly like his father, who is also known for having a lot of weird accidents both in the set and in his real life, which doesn't affect his positive attitude.
He never ended up going to college, but is still training and continuing to achieve his dream of becoming a professional athlete.
