That night, Alice and I just take the time to figure out certain ways that we want to move forward with the baby.
Like getting a doctor's appointment for blood work and anything else that the doctor recommends, when we want to start telling people she's pregnant (besides Kate, Hazel, and June) who already know, and things like that.
We also talked about where we want to live because neither of the places that we live right now are conducive to raising a child, or children since we both agree we have more than one, and we need to move somewhere that can be a family home.
We also don't want to live up in the hills, like Reaper does, because we don't want to be that isolated. It works for Fiona, Reaper, and their children, but that's nothing that Alice and I want.
The suburbs near where Dakota and Poison live are built up and some houses are on sale, so we decided to take a look at those. That is where we are right now, without Dakota and Poison, but with Major and Violet.
"So, the reason we invited you to this random house in what is practically Dakota and Poison's neighborhood," Alice starts, "is because we are moving in together."
Violet and Major glance at each other before eyeing us suspiciously.
"Alice is pregnant, isn't she?" Violet instantly questions, giving us a pointed look.
"Okay, yes, I might be pregnant. But, we also really love each other and wanna spend the rest of our lives together," Alice admits, hugging her arm around me slightly tighter.
"Wow," which is all Major has to say before going to take a lap around the house.
"I'll go talk to him," Violet announces, but I know that it's time for me to say something.
We haven't really had a discussion, just the two of us, about my relationship with Alice. It's probably time to do that. Major's also an extremely important person in my life, and my relationship with Alice was never meant to come between us.
I think he now knows that nothing comes before her now, but I also want to make sure that we're good. I want to make sure that there isn't tension between the two of us because Alice cares a lot about Major and I's relationship.
Not only would she feel guilty about our romance harming my relationship with Major, but I would do some of that too. He found out while we were at his parent's house two weeks ago, and we haven't really talked about it since.
He was more concentrated on his father than us being able to have an actual conversation about Alice and my relationship. Now is a good time as any, especially with Alice now being pregnant.
There's no avoiding having this discussion, and it's not like I would want to anyway. Our brotherhood is too important.
Alice and Violet understand and go to the opposite end of the house, giving Major and me more than enough space to have a conversation.
Plus, they are going to go into every single fucking nook and cranny of this house, they might as well start somewhere.
I find Major in the kitchen, opening empty drawers.
"Hey," I begin, quite unsure of what to say, "what do you think?"
"Of the house or you fucking my sister?"
"Goddamn, Major."
"Isn't that what happened?"
"We both made an informed decision. And yes, that is was happened, but it's not like we did it to intentionally hurt you."
Major huffs, leaning himself against the counter.
"It has nothing to do with me," he says, "but I wish you didn't hide it from me. I would have liked to know that you two liked each other like that. Because all of sudden, you're getting a house together, and she's your Old Lady. I barely knew that you two were dating. It just feels really rushed, and I don't want either of you to get hurt."
He has a point. We didn't really tell him anything. Alice and I have only been together for a total of two months, only two weeks of him knowing, and I can imagine the whiplash.
I don't even think he knew how much we actually hang out with one another. Before the sex even started happening too. We weren't intentionally hiding it, because why would Alice or I do that, but it was never brought up.
We sort of assumed Major had an idea since we would leave the bar together, and we have been around each other a lot from the moment I came to Westmoor.
It wasn't like we specifically thought we needed to hide our friendship.
I guess dating and marriage are different than friendship though. What he doesn't know is that we weren't even technically dating. And I don't think we're getting legally married anytime soon.
We're just dating while having a baby and living in a house together.
"I can see why you think that we're, I don't know, hiding something from you. But really, we were just in our own world. We didn't think anything of it. The pregnancy wasn't planned, but it feels right. With Violet, you two literally got married after a couple of weeks. You knew it was right, and you both are doing amazing, I think, as far as I know."
"We are," Major butts in.
"I'm with Alice because I'm in love with her. I'm moving in with her because I'm in love with her. The baby is an unexpected thing, but I loved her before I knew about the baby. I would have asked her to move in with me, or buy a house together, and become my Old Lady regardless of her being pregnant," I finish, wanting him to understand what my intentions truly are.
"I guess I'm being a fucking hypocrite, aren't I?" he observes (correctly).
I don't agree with him, not wanting to piss him off.
"Being Violet's husband has been the most incredible experience. I wish everyone this kind of joy. I shouldn't be denying that between Alice and you because I'm worried about something that's not going to happen. Fuck, I'm sorry for being a dick about it," Major apologizes as he walks around the kitchen island.
He wraps me up in a hug, and it's clear to me that he doesn't think anything of my relationship with Alice anymore. He just loves us and wants us to be happy.
When we walk back into the main entrance, Alice and Violet are talking to our relator about the place and the closest schools. Our relator, Santiago, takes us on an official tour of the house, and Alice and I pretty much fall in love with the place.
It isn't far from any schools or the main town of Westmoor. We have Dakota and Poison near us which I already know is just going to be the fucking best. The house is the perfect size, with four bedrooms, three baths, and everything else that we would need.
Plus, there's a pool and cabana in the back, so we cannot say no to this place. While I talk to the relator about money and all those types of logistics, Alice, Violet, and Major get set on designing the entire place, already looking for an interior designer to fit our needs.
I couldn't give less of a fuck because Alice can spend all the fucking money she wants, as long as she's happy. I don't care about anything else.
The four of us walk over to Dakota and Poison's house, feeling the need to surprise them because they do it to everyone else. Major and I slam our bodies against the side of the house, while the girls giggle like children, being louder than either Major and I can manage.
I hear Poison's scream and Dakota telling him off for scaring her more than the pounding of the side of their house. Poison opens the door with Dakota on his shoulders, and I know that I want to be them when I grow up.
We are instantly invited inside with hugs and cold bottles of beer, which Alice declines, for obvious reasons. The two of them are instantly suspicious, and I can't hold back in telling them.
I just want to see their reactions, not even Alice can deny me that.
