eunjin
FUCK, hyein is still not here. everyone seems to have their own friend groups already ...
"sooo, how was your break?" haram asks me, making me look at her with confusion. i don't think we've ever interacted like this. it was always just seeing each other around but no one's ever bothered to ask the other questions such as this one.
"well, the flower shop's had a steady increase over the break. people have been loving the crochet flowers." i hope i didn't sound a bit prouder than i actually am.
"yeah i saw some of the tiktoks your shop page posted, they were so cute!" she happily says, making me smile.
aww, she seems genuine about it too!
"the power of social media really made a huge difference." if my mom were here, she'd say something along the lines of "hard work is more important" or some corny shit similar to that.
"were you able to recruit another part-time florist? i saw how a lot of people were very interested for the position." huh, i never thought she'd be so interested in the flower shop.
people can be unpredictable ... this is definitely an example of that.
"yup, and it's a he this time. having extra hands made everything smoother, especially when we get rush orders ..."
"it took a while for me to find someone as good as him, but it was worth it, really." suddenly, she gives me a smirk. oh hell no. it's not what you think girlie.
"can't a girl and guy just be friends?" i say, making her giggle.
"it's just that it's been a while since i saw you around with a guy before!" she says as i let out an awkward chuckle.
that's got to be a backhanded comment.
suddenly, i start feeling this build-up of fear inside me.
"wait-" i quickly say before she was about to interact with the other students.
"hmm?"
"nevermind." quickly taking back my question, i was scared she'd find me a bit weird for even assuming the absolute worst in people.

hyejin
pretty much all of the nursing students have been milling around, trying to look for the classrooms they belong in, despite the chaos.
i was able to find my very close friends though: danielle, iroha, and sunoo.
"this is getting so annoying." sunoo states, looking around the others before getting bumped by some of the kids without even apologizing. that made his eyes roll. LMFAOOOOO-
"i didn't even know this room ever existed, was this here the entire time?" danielle asks, making me let out a hum as i check out the class schedule.
"i'm too sleepy for this." iroha yawns, just before teachers start popping up for guidance.
apparently they got all the blocks and their respective rooms mixed up, which explains why there were some students arguing about being there first and all of that.
"now that was a great way to start the sem." i thought, letting out a giggle.
nothing much has changed around in here. literally only 3 people are new. should i be worried about that or no?

yoonji
"hi! you're yoonji, right?" someone from behind where i'm seated says after poking my back, making me face her and nod.
she looks familiar and all, but i don't exactly remember how i even recognize her from.
"yeah, and you are?" i ask, earning a shy giggle from her.
"i'm asa."
"wonhee told me about you being in this class!" she says, making me go in awe. maybe she just needed someone to talk to and all, probably hasn't made a friend yet.
"we've been friends since middle school, and she's no longer gonna be with us for this subject after taking it in advance." she adds, making me let out a hum.
"i've been feeling a bit out of place around here. i literally don't know 60% of the people here." she says, making me look at her in confusion.
"what does the remaining 40 represent then?" i ask, causing her to awkwardly laugh.
"15% would be the people i know, but don't have the guts to talk to ... 25% would have to be the intimidating ones i think i wouldn't exactly vibe with." she concludes, making me look around the others before nodding.
"i think you're overthinking this." i feel like she deadass just ignored what i said.
"what if we study together plus do homework and group projects together? that would be fun, right?" she suddenly asks, making me hesitantly nod in return.
i usually study or do my homework alone. oftentimes, i do those things with ken. i didn't expect her to jump to that level already.
"why don't we invite her too? i heard she's always on top of her classes last school year ..."
"now isn't that awesome?" ummmm, sure.
minutes have gone by and she's still looking at me. like fr, she's still just waiting for my next move (i think).
"what are you waiting for? we've got to invite her, or someone else will." that only ever heightened my suspicions of this girl. why are you taking this so seriously?
"why don't you do it? you're the one that wants to befriend her." i couldn't help but laugh, because what i just said felt so right.
"oh uhh ... no thanks, i'm not good at talking to people first, it just gives me so much anxiety." okayyy, but what about me girlie? do you think what you're asking me to do won't give me anxiety?
but then again, she's still new ... i kinda have to adjust, since i've been there.
