Rouge flies through the hallway, searching for Kit, but a bunch of Badniks gets in her way.
Rouge: What a pain!
Rouge twirls and spins from Badnik to Badnik, destroying them with her kicks. She thinks to herself:
Rouge: The faster I find him, the sooner we can all get out of here! I've got to hurry up!
Rouge decides to fly upwards, believing Kit is most likely on the higher floors.
Meanwhile, Shadow and Eggman are face to face, staring each other down. Eggman is in a big mecha suit with a Chaos Emerald as its core. Shadow notices the color of the Chaos Emerald is lost, so it's unclear which Chaos Emerald it is.
Shadow: So, you got yourself another suit powered by the Chaos Emerald? I don't know what you've done with its power, but it's still not going to save you.
Eggman: Already so arrogant before the battles even started? I suppose that's like you.
Shadow: Don't waste my time, Eggman. If you tell me where the Fenrec is, I may let you live. I'm not leaving here without them.
Eggman just laughs.
Eggman: Ohohoho! You're better off worrying about yourself! MECHA-EGG-DROIDS, ATTACK!!!
Suddenly, a Big mech droid attacks Shadow from behind. Shadow dodges it by jumping back. Then, four other droids that look the same attack Shadow all at the same time, but Shadow uses Chaos Spear to stop their movements.
Eggman: Well, now I've got important things to do. I wish you the best of luck, ultimate life form!
Eggman runs away, thinking to himself that this should buy him some time.
Shadow gets a little irritated at first but then smirks as all five androids attempt to attack him again.
Shadow: Hmph.
Surge and Metal Sonic, on the lower floors, begin to clash, landing punches on each other's faces. Surge kicks Metal Sonic back.
Surge: Try harder!
Surge shoots an electric projectile at Metal Sonic, but he dodges by jumping back. As Metal Sonic is in the air, Surge sneaks behind him, but before she can land a punch, Metal Sonic grabs her face and uses his booster jets to fly, smashing Surge through several walls. Omega notices the destruction as he continues to shoot down the Badniks and other Shadow androids.
Omega: .....
Surge: GUH!
As Metal Sonic continues, Surge grabs both of his arms and electrocutes him, sending them both falling down. Surge continues to electrocute him, but Metal Sonic kicks her back in the stomach with both legs, sending Surge upwards. Surge lands on her feet safely as Metal Sonic starts to get back up.
Surge: Huff huff Now that's what I'm talking about! I'm going to destroy you into oblivion!
Surge then spins like a top, and charges up, and surrounds her body with electricity before speeding toward Metal Sonic to attack him. Metal Sonic dodges several of Surge's punches. Metal Sonic throws some punches of his own, but Surge dodges them as well. Metal Sonic then goes for a kick, but Surge dodges it and goes for a punch on Metal Sonic. Before she can land it, Metal Sonic grabs her arm and elbows her face.
