After a tough battle, Surge and Shadow finally managed to defeat the almighty genius Eggman. But with his devastating loss, what will become of the doctor?
Eggman: Ahh! Stay back, you creature!
Eggman crawls backward away from Surge. Surge, without saying a word, continues walking toward him. Eggman then bumps into something and turns around to see Shadow standing coldly above him.
Eggman: Gah!
Shadow: You've lost, Doctor. And I doubt that's something you'll live to regret.
Eggman hears a crackling sound behind him. He turns around fearfully and sees Surge, with both of her hands covered with electricity.
Eggman: WAIT, DON'T! STOP!!
Surge presses down on Eggman, electrocuting him, sending the doctor into excruciating pain.
Eggman: GAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!
Surge watches the screaming doctor coldly.
Surge: I've lowered the output to a minimum-just to make your last moments as painful as possible.
Eggman: ARGHHHHHHHH!!!
Surge looks at him with disappointment.
Surge: I pity you, Eggman. [Smirks] Your life is even sadder than mine. Starline always told me that, for all your power and ego, you're nothing more than a lonely man who can never achieve his dream.
Eggman continues to scream in agony as Surge closes her eyes, as the electrocution continues
Surge: It's time for you to project your meaningless existence elsewhere old man. This is goodbye.
Suddenly, Metal Sonic swoops in, charging at them. Shadow and Surge quickly jump out of the way as Metal Sonic grabs Eggman and flies away with him.
Surge: Hey, wait!!
Surge punches the ground in frustration.
Surge: Darn it! I didn't think he'd recover already! If only I'd killed that fat loser faster!
Shadow: He looked almost burnt to a crisp anyway. He'll be lucky to survive.
Surge: [Sighs] Yeah, I guess so.
Rouge: HEY, YOU GUYS!!
Surge & Shadow: !!
They both turn to see Rouge and Kit flying in from a distance. A minute later, Kit and Surge are hugging each other tightly while Rouge stands beside Shadow.
Kit: [Smiling] Surge! I knew you wouldn't lose! I'm so glad you're okay!
Surge: [Smiling] I'm even happier that you're okay, Drippy! I was worried for days! I don't know what I'd do without you!
Kit: Y-yeah... I'm sorry for getting myself captured and leaving you alone again.
Surge hugs Kit even tighter.
