My sister is gonna kill me today for just a tiny blunder I made. I just added five teaspoons of red chili powder to her morning tea.
"What?? She was the one who was sleepy and not paying heed, so how come it is my fault??" I blink my eyes innocently, trying to look as angelic as possible.
Flashback
The kitchen is a scene of chaos. The acrid smell of overly spiced tea fills the air, making my eyes water slightly.
My sister, chitra, stands there, her face turning an alarming shade of red, eyes wide with a mix of shock and rage. She clutches the teacup, her hands trembling."Well, after knowing about this legendary incident, don't underestimate my culinary skills or consider me mentally retarded or fatuous." I huff, crossing my arms defensively.
Chitra's mouth opens and closes like a fish out of water, her fury palpable. She sets the teacup down with a clatter, her hands shaking.
"Aakriti, are you out of your mind?!"I shrug nonchalantly, a smirk playing on my lips.
The scene was amazing. Her face was worth looking
"Yesterday, she shattered my peaceful sleep at 4 AM by throwing a bucket full of ice water on my face and her brilliant explanation? She was just concerned about me because it's summer, and she was lending a hand to help me out of concern.

And then there's my mother, Shagun Sharma, so adorable yet a tad bit strict. She's the strictest when silent.
Now, I really am convinced that my sister, Chitra Sharma, is not my parents' biological daughter. How can that devil be the daughter of such lovely and kind people?!But still, I can't sacrifice my family for anything. Life is perfect, and I am truly grateful to my Mahadev.
