Chapter-26

Aakriti's POV

I opened my eyes but immediately closed them and tried to accommodate my vision according to the surroundings

My head was throbbing badly. Soon, the nurse sauntered inside and saw me and gave me water and I rememberd the accident and frowned with confusion that how I reached the hospital

Soon my parents and maa, badi maa and papa came inside and surrounded me and I could see the concern swirling in their eyes for me.

Prisha and Aditya bhaiya entered immediately after they left

Prisha hugged me loosely as she was afraid that she might end up hurting me and bursted out wailing and I consoled her

"Oh hello?! You are here to make sure she is fine or bother her?" Aditya bhaiya said and I understood that he is trying to divert her mind and I looked at him with gratitude while he blinked his eyes assuringly

The door opened again and the most unexpected person entered the room but I did not bother to spare him a glance even after sensing his continuous gaze on me

"Are you alright now?" he asked and I scoffed internally but I nodded my head nonchalantly

"I am sor––" he tried to say something but I interrupted him

Abhay's POV

"I am sor––"I tried to say but she interjected while nodding and I got confused as I didn't expect her to react so casually after everything that happened between us but her next words completely shattered me

"I don't even know you then why are you apologizing for it?" she said with a small smile and Prisha and Aditya looked at us in disbelief

"Aakriti... What are you saying?! He is your husband then why are you regarding him as a stranger?" Prisha said with confusion all over her face

" Just send him out at this instant. I don't have anything to do with him" she said and suddenly her breathing became ragged and she clutched her head tightly and we all got panicked seeing her state

We called the doctors immediately and they checked her and injected her with sedative and the doctor specially advised us to keep her away from stress as the accident has already affected her body physically as well as mentally and the persistent stress can cause permanent damage in her cerebrum

My heart shattered while looking at her as her left hand and left leg was seriously injured and the doctor told us that she has suffered a minor fracture in her left hand and her head was injured too and there were many bruises all over her body

We came out of her personal ward and Aditya and Prisha dragged me outside

"Abhay, why was bhabhi saying all that? Is there some problem between you both?" he bombarded me with questions and Prisha too looked at us seeking the answer

I inhaled a deep breath and told them about everything from me forcing her for our alliance, my ill behaviour with her, the party's events, our argument and everything

Few seconds passed in total silence and then Aditya came to me and punched me on my jaw with a great force

" How dare you?! What the hell do you think of yourself? How could you stoop so low?! You are such a selfish man that you couldn't see that how you are hurting an innocent soul!! I really am ashamed that I am your best friend" Aditya roared and left me with a jerk

"I really considered you my brother but I was wrong" Prisha whispered with a distant look in her eyes

"You blackmailed my sister saying that you would ruin us if she would not give into your demands but you ruined us in the worst way possible by hurting my sister. What did you get by doing all this?"

"How could you do all this to my sister, jiju? Oops, sorry! Mr. Abhay Raichand. I prayed to God that I should get a husband like you in future but now I pray that no one should get a husband like you. Why did you hurt her?! you should have simply got married to your Tanya rather than toying with someone' else's life" she yelled with disgust and turned away from me

" But Karma pays back and you will not ever be able to live at peace and get out of my sister's life. You should be celebrating now that she is hurt as you always wanted to hurt her then why are you wasting your time here?!" She said with fury in her eyes and stormed inside

"She is right and now even I am cutting all ties with you. Goodbye, Mr. Raichand. Go and live your life peacefully and enjoy your freedom with your Tanya now" he said with disgust
