Before we begin, I'd like to mention that I did not create the image I used as the cover. Also, I've written in British English so spellings are a little different than American English. I'll try to write another part each day.

This takes place after the most recent events of MHA. This means AFO is already dead and they are now in their second year of UA. This story plays on the theory of AFO being Midoriya's father.

Midoriya woke to his alarm, light streaming into his bedroom through a crack in his curtains. He got up and got ready for class. Shortly after, he met up with Iida, Uraraka, and Todoroki in the common area, before the four started heading to the main UA campus.

About a quarter of the way there, Iida suddenly turned to Midoriya.

"Midoriya! Have you had breakfast this morning?"

Midoriya looked at him, surprised by the sudden question.

"Er- no"

Iida shook his head dramatically and struck the air repeatedly with his arm for effect, "it is the most important meal of the day, and as your Class Rep I must ensure you are well prepared for this day ahead of you!"

Midoriya panicked in a comedic fashion, waving his arms to stop Iida, "it's fine, I am well prepared!"

"Why did you even miss it, Deku-kun? It's not like we're in a rush," Uraraka asked.

"I just wasn't hungry that's all. I appreciate your concern, though," Midoriya smiled.

———

Iida made Midoriya return to the dorms to eat something. He and the majority of class 1A (or 2A now) made sure that Midoriya was eating all three meals since he'd returned from his time as a vigilante. This was something he appreciated, naturally. But some of his classmates could be rather forceful about it, such as Iida, who was now lecturing him on the importance of food.

Midoriya was glad things had been going so well since he'd returned to UA for his second year. There was no one to fight after all. He could finally focus on his studies.

After Midoriya ate some breakfast and brushed his teeth (again), the group walked to UA once more. The sun was shining brightly and few clouds were in the sky. It was a pretty perfect day.

"It's supposed to stay like this for the rest of the week," Todoroki mentioned, noticing Midoriya smiling up at the blue sky.

The four manoeuvred their way through the busy corridors and finally arrived at their classroom. It was almost identical to the one they'd had in their previous year, apart from the massive door reading 2A instead of 1A.

———

During lunch, All Might briefly pulled Midoriya aside.

"Young Midoriya! How are you doing my boy?"

Midoriya smiled, "great! Thanks. How are you?"

"I'm doing well, thank you," a short pause, "Please would you come and see me in my office after school today? There's something I'd like to talk to you about," All Might responded.

Midoriya nodded and said a short goodbye to All Might (exchanging waves) before rejoining his friends.

———

Little else happened that day, until the afternoon. Aizawa let the class leave early. This was certainly unusual considering he always followed the rules. It was easily brushed off by everyone, however, who were more than happy to leave slightly earlier after a long day of lessons.

Midoriya packed up his things, being one of the last to leave (as per usual), and swiftly left the classroom. He explained to his friends he wouldn't be walking back to the dorms with them as All Might had requested to see him.

"Alright, see you later, Deku-kun," Uraraka said, and she, Iidq, and Todoroki left.

Midoriya began to walk to All Might's office and after snapping back to reality, realised he was walking in the same direction as Aizawa. They both arrived at All Might's office, and Aizawa finally became aware of Midoriya. He seemed to have been troubled by something beforehand and had not noticed him. But upon realising Midoriya was standing by the door, sighed.

"I assume All Might has asked to meet with you? There's currently a meeting going on so you might have to wait."

Midoriya nodded, "ok, thank you, Mr Aizawa."

Aizawa pulled the door open, entered the room, and it swung shut behind him. Midoriya was left alone in the hallway.

He pulled out his phone upon receiving a message from All Might that read, "SORRY. MEETING. 30 MINUTES."

It certainly seemed like a big deal. It troubled Aizawa, and All Might had definitely written that message in a rush. Not to mention the fact that this meeting seemed pretty urgent, and maybe a bit sudden considering that All Might had asked to meet with him earlier, but was now doing this. All Might would have told Midoriya if he'd have to wait.

Midoriya continued to scroll through things on his phone to pass the time. A few minutes in he accidentally pressed on a video reviewing a milkshake from a shop. It seemed to be relatively nearby. Out of interest, Midoriya searched how close it was, and discovered it was only 15 minutes away. Checking the time, he decided to walk there and back.

———

Buying the milkshake had turned out to be a little longer than thirty minutes due to a long queue. It had been around 50 minutes. Midoriya hoped All Might didn't mind having to wait longer. He sped down the hallway, strawberry milkshake in hand, and pushed open the door. Whoops. The meeting was still going on. All Might, Aizawa, Principal Nezu, Present Mic, Hawks, and Endeavour all turned to look at him. Midoriya would rather be anywhere else at that moment. The group of heroes were standing around a table. Several files, sheets of paper, and a couple of pictures were covering it. For what felt like many long hours, Midoriya stood there frozen while they stared at him. He hastily tried to apologise but stumbled on his words and embarrassed himself even more. He felt his face go hot and it was surely as pink as the milkshake in his hand. His eyes flickered down onto the table briefly, and he noticed a familiar face on one of the pictures. He looked back and saw the quirk doctor he'd had as a child.

Nezu was the first to realise Midoriya knew the man in the image, reading his expression.

"Do you know this man, Mr Midoriya?", he said with his usual intimidating smile.

Not wanting to embarrass himself again he didn't make eye contact, still blushing, "Y-yes sir."

Some heroes explained glances which further confused Midoriya. After all, that man was just a normal quirk doctor. Or was he? Would it turn out that he'd done something horrible? That made him nervous, and he decided to enquire.

"If I might ask," Midoriya asked, "what has that quirk doctor done to require all of your attention?"

Clearly, the heroes didn't want to reveal this information, but Nezu spoke up.

"Well you see, Mr Midoriya, this is the very same doctor that worked for AFO."

Midoriya's face went from a startling pink to a ghostly white.
