Sorry for being unable to get this out to you yesterday, I was busy. I'll write more later today.

This episode has many mentions of feeling sick or being sick and also has swearing.

While we don't know what happened to Mirko, I'm going to assume she's alive and now has high-tech prosthetics.

----------------------------story start------------------------------

Aizawa felt immeasurable guilt. He hated that they hadn't found Midoriya yet. He hated the pestering thoughts of what Dr. Garaki might be doing to him. But most of all, he hated himself for asking Midoriya to talk to that sick bastard in the first place.

His brain was filled with what-if scenarios. What if they did find him and it was too late? What if Dr. Garaki was turning him into a nomu? What if they didn't find him? Or worse, they found his body a few months later rotting in some lake somewhere. Oh god. Aizawa felt sick.

He was out searching everywhere. He, and a couple of other heroes, were looking anywhere they could think of. And still, it was taking too long. It had been several days since Midoriya was captured, and slivers of hope were slipping away with each passing hour.

BUZZ

Aizawa's phone notified him of an incoming message. It was from Hawks. He was fearing the worst. Hawks had the idea of checking out the still-wrecked areas of Jaku City.

Bracing himself, he checked the message. It simply read:

"Found the lab."

Even after reading this, Aizawa did not get his hopes up. They'd had a couple of false alarms before this, thinking they found the lab, but in reality, it was nothing of importance whatsoever. He'd got his hopes up the first time, the second, and the third.

Hawks sent his location to several heroes and they all headed to his location.

The lab was situated in the centre of the still destroyed sections of the city. The clean-up crew had been working around the clock for months and months, and they'd even started rebuilding things. But the damage was immense and it would still be a long time before they cleared everything and rebuilt it all.

Aizawa met up with Hawks, Endeavour, and Mirko. They decided not to wait for any other heroes to arrive.

The heroes came up with a plan, prepping to come into contact with dozens of nomu, but when they went in, it was eerily quiet. This made Aizawa wonder if it was another false alarm.

The hallways were dark and stretched out. It seemed that Dr. Garaki had simply moved his research into an abandoned building that had barely survived. There was some shabby patchwork here and there, but overall, it looked like the whole place was going to collapse any minute. Seemed he wasn't planning on staying a long time.

After a while of walking around in circles, they began heading down another longer hallway and heard Dr. Garaki's voice. At first, it sounded like he was talking to someone, but as Aizawa listened closer, he became aware that he was just speaking to himself. The man was insane.

They arrived at the end of the hallway. A set of doors were there, leading into the room. One of the doors was slightly ajar and a little light came streaming out. The heroes waited for a good moment, Aizawa was still fearing the worst. Occasionally they could see Dr. Garaki's silhouette pass the streak of light.

Endeavour motioned for them to enter on the count of three. They were going for the element of surprise.

But the door creaked. Damn. Dr. Garaki heard this and spun around. He was instantly frightened and got up and ran, stumbling on the way there, before darting into what looked like a panic room, with a large glass window. What a coward. But Aizawa wasn't here for him.

Aizawa glared at Dr. Garaki briefly and was about to talk to the other heroes about finding Midoriya, but when he saw their faces, he followed their gaze.

Midoriya was suspended in a large tank, much like the one that Shigaraki had been in before he destroyed the city. There was a breathing mask on his face. The only real difference was that the liquid inside the tank was a vibrant red rather than the eerie purple it had been with Shigaraki.

Midoriya was unconscious. But that wasn't the only thing wrong here. His hair was now white, just like Shigaraki's had become when Dr. Garaki experimented on him.

The awful sick feeling became much more prevalent for Aizawa. What had Dr. Garaki done to him?

"Let's break him the hell out of that thing," Mirko says, looking ready to jump and smash it like she had done previously.

Dr. Garaki laughed wickedly. The heroes turned to him.

"I'm afraid that I could not allow that to happen again. I had some Tartarus glass delivered. You're not breaking through that tank or this window," Dr. Garaki made clear to them.

"How are you going to get out of there?" Hawks enquired.

Dr. Garaki smirked, "I planned an escape route in case you heroes came knocking. I just wanted to stick around to see your faces when you realise you can't save him."

Aizawa was getting angry now.

"I reckon he's bluffing. That glass is seriously expensive," Mirko yelled.

She leapt into the air and kicked the glass full force. The kick had no impact on the glass whatsoever, but the force was dispersed over the glass and impacted something else because the breathing mask on Midoriya's face came off.

"Shit."

Midoriya breathed in some of the liquid and he was suddenly dragged back to consciousness. He awoke startled, and drowning.

Aizawa couldn't bear to see his student panicked and choking.

"What have you done?!" Dr. Garaki screeched. He slammed his hand onto a control panel next to him on the wall of the panic room and the glass lifted, but not by much. Something else had gone wrong and the liquid in the tank was draining incredibly slowly.

Midoriya continued to panic.

Without warning, the glass juddered slightly and lifted all the way, drenching the floor in the remaining liquid.

Midoriya fell onto the floor and coughed up the liquid and vomited. This lasted for a short while. Aizawa approached his student.

"Midoriya?"

The teen slowly looked up at him. His eyes were also red now. He tried to smile as he didn't want to say anything, but was clearly in some type of discomfort, and Aizawa could see this on his face. Midoriya tried to stand up, wobbling slightly, but collapsed onto the floor and slipped into unconsciousness once more.

Aizawa picked him up and, upon seeing that everything was ok, the other three tried to get Dr. Garaki out of the other room. Looking terrified, he pressed something else on the control panel and nomus came speeding out of the darkness.

It was a short fight with little injury. It seemed that Dr. Garaki did not have many resources anymore and had made the nomus poorly.

When they looked back to get Dr. Garaki, however, he was gone.
