I really hope this episode isn't terrible. Sorry it took so long. I'm less motivated to write it now that I'm focused on other things right now. But this will get finished. Thanks for sticking around.

Spoilers warning.

Midoriya was finally back at school. But that didn't mean things were completely back to normal. The teachers were keeping a close eye on him.

Occasionally, he'd get another teacher or hero asking if he was ok or if they'd found anything. It was kind of exhausting. It was nice that they cared enough to ask but, it made for some awkward interactions if he didn't know them quite well. This also made a great deal of other students outside of 1A suspicious. It was getting to the point that Midoriya believed almost everyone knew he'd been kidnapped and potentially experimented on.

Perhaps they were right to be suspicious. Maybe Dr Garaki had done something to him and he just wasn't aware. Every possibility had already crossed Midoriya's mind. This whole thing was causing him great stress. It was enough to keep him up until late at night. This meant he was often tired, which gave All Might and Aizawa another reason to worry.

But either way, he had a week until the final test at the quirk clinic. It was sort of a last resort to find out what was going on with Midoriya seeing as nothing else had told them what could be wrong with him.

Midoriya had to catch up on a great deal. It was surprising how much he'd missed in the week he'd been gone. But it was something to fill his time. And when he couldn't sleep, he'd often catch up on a bit more. By day three, Midoriya was all caught up.

Luckily, nothing eventful happened during those two days. Day three, however; is a different story.

"Ok. We're going to put you into teams and, as per usual, you'll fight against teams from Class 1B," Aizawa told the class.

They had gathered outside in a new training ground for the school. It resembled that of a large train station (the one at the end of a train line).

Midoriya was in a group with Todoroki, Yaoyorozu, and Ojiro. Class 1B had requested they have larger groups and this was put into effect because Class 1A is overpowered.

Now that Midoriya is quirkless, he's had to adapt in training. But Midoriya has fought quirkless before so it's not too much harder. Sure, he'd like to still have a quirk, but it's not the end of the world. His main hope is that he looks cool while fighting despite not having a flashy quirk anymore. However, Midoriya still hopes that OFA will return one day. But this is purely fantasy as of now.

Much like many of their other training exercises, this one involves catching the members of the other team and then escorting them to one of the designated areas in the training facility.

To start, Midoriya and the rest of the group stayed together. That was until the other group split them up. They'd clearly planned this out already. Midoriya found himself in a poor position in contrast with a member of the other team, who was higher up than he was. He ran, hoping to just make it to them before they could use their quirk.

He raced up a slope to meet with the other person on a concrete walkway. He used a nearby pole that was fixed to the ground to his advantage. He swung on it so that he could kick them in the stomach. It was successful. But during his attempt to capture them, he was met with some 3D words. This was Manga's quirk. It seemed he was trying to prevent his teammates from getting captured while distracting other members of Midoriya's team. It was honestly surprising he'd managed to intervene in Midoriya's fight because he was taking on Todoroki. It looked like he was trying to simply stop Todoroki from fighting anybody else.

Midoriya decided to come up with a different strategy. The person he had been fighting had already made themselves scarce, likely preparing to surprise attack him later on. Midoriya couldn't wait for that. Instead, he headed over to try to stop Manga. While he was distracted, Midoriya snuck up behind him. It took some time because Manga was rather high up on the top of the train station. When he reached the top, Midoriya launched himself at Manga, and the two began to fall. Manga caught himself with his quirk, and briefly caught Midoriya to stop him plummeting from such a great height (after all, they didn't want to kill each other), but dropped him on accident about halfway up. Midoriya fell. He did his best to minimise injury, but it was still gonna hurt like hell. His quirk thinking allowed him to only have one broken leg instead of two, but it wasn't exactly ideal. The other was dislocated so Midoriya was stuck on the floor.

Luckily, the attack aimed to distract Manga so that Todoroki could stop him, and it worked. Manga was eventually captured. Todoroki came over to Midoriya shortly after.

"Midoriya! Are you alright?" he asked, "your leg doesn't look so good."

"Yeah, er, I've broken one of my legs," Midoriya responded.

"Oh no. Do you want me to see if I can get a hero to come and help you?"

"No, it's ok. I've only dislocated the other leg."

Midoriya didn't want to be entirely useless in this fight if he could help it.

"Can I ask you to do something really stupid?" He continued.

"Um, sure. What is it?"

Midoriya looked up at Todoroki and gave him an uneasy smile.

"Would you try and correct my other leg for me?"
