Maddox's time machine unexpectedly transported me and the goody-two-shoes Chloe somewhere... But where? I knew we were at Auradon, but something seemed... different. We weren't in the red-filled courtyard with terrified subjects, we were in the courtyard with green grass. The sky was clear, barely any clouds in sight. The grass was plush, as if it had been recently

I stare at a sign in front of us when Chloe speaks.

"What happened?! Where are we?!"

I think for a moment before replying.
"Not where, when."
I correct, not looking at Chloe. I look around the courtyard around us, trying to figure out what year we're in. Is it just moments before mom tried to kill Cinderella or decades?

"What do you mean?!" Chloe shouts at me, stepping closer. Geez, is she really this dull?

"I mean, we've gone back in time, with this pocket watch." I hold up the pocket watch, letting it dangle from my finger.

"Give it to me. We gotta get back. We gotta save my mom! Please!"

I tilt my head, walking backwards in a taunting manner.

The blue-haired girl hesitates before she uses her sword to attempt to get the pocket watch. She thrusts the silvery-sword forward.

I strengthen my grip on the chain, pulling the clock closer to my hand and blocking the sword. I grin as Chloe grew even more angry.

The fight for the watch continues for around 10 more minutes before Chloe puts her sword in the holes of the chain, throwing it onto a statute. Why is she like this?!

We both immediately stop in our tracks. We just stared at the pocketwatch, jaws dropped. How could I get it? Maybe... yeah, I got no idea. Okay, so maybe we should team up. I turn to Chloe.

"Yknow what?" I pause. "We should work together. It'll benefit both of us."

Chloe seems to pause, just like me, to think. After what seems like forever, the girl stuck out her hand.

"Deal!" She smiled, and it felt like my stomach had butterflies. Hm, must be a stomach ache, or the fear of losing my mom.

I put my hand out and returned the smile. I shook her hand. It was soft. Exactly like a princess. Ack.

"Deal."

Chloe squeals. "Welp, let's go see what we're working with!"

We walk around the large courtyard when we notice a girl with a wand and a book.

"Bibbity.. bob-- ack!" The young girl uses her wand, but instead glitter falls all over the place. "I can never get it right!" She slams the book shut and drops it on the bench next to her with a thud.

Chloe walks up to the girl. "Uh hey! I'm Chloe! And you are?" She smiles. Her smile really fits her face, y'know?

I gently tug her back before the girl looks up with a start.

"Uh, I'm Jade-- Jade Godmother" Wait. Like the fairy godmother?! Woah.

Me and Chloe exchange knowing but shocked looks.

"You mean, the fairy godmother?" Chloe asks.

"Well-- I'm trying to be Fairy Godmother, but my stupid wand doesn't want to work! But one day, I'll be the very best!" Jade grinned wisely, her voice sounding almost heroic.

"And that's a great way to think!" Chloe grinned back. I roll my eyes at her enthusiasm, but I actually found it inspiring.

We said our goodbyes to Jade before leaving the courtyard, walking into the school.

As we were walking, Chloe was smiling and waving to everybody she saw. I grabbed her wrist and pulled it down. I held it for a moment longer before letting go. We continued walking until Chloe stopped us infront of a sign.

"Of course! Merlin Academy!! Well, that's what Auradon used to be called before the Beast and Belle united all of Auradon--" Chloe goes on, and on, and on, before I interrupt her.

"And how do you know all this?" I ask with my arms crossed, cocking an eyebrow.

"Well I am part of Auradons historical society, and I do enjoy the history." She reponds as if it's the most obvious thing.

I let out a short laugh, looking at Chloe with a confused and disgusted expression. History isn't that interesting.

"So you're a goody-two-shoes and a know it all! Don't know what I expected, but eh."

Chloe giggles then we finally enter the school.

We walk into what I assume is the lobby. There are kids reading different colored book, attempting to preforming spells but failing, people with wands, and different posters scattered around the stone walls. They had various sayings like "Do you enjoy spells, but can't seem to get them right? Join our after-school program!" And "Study for SSAT!!" which stands for 'special spell assessment test.' We keep walking until Chloes eyes lock on one of the posters, making her stop in her tracks.

"Ooh! Castlecoming!! That's where my parents fell in love!" She exclaimed, grabbing my arm and jumping up and down.

I roll my eyes "and where my mom got some terrible prank played on her." I mutter. Chloe stopped jumped and her happy expression slowly turned into one of guilt. I feel bad, but serves her right.

"Oh yeah." She mumbles before examining the poster for a few more moments.

"Hm. I wonder why the watch took us to this specific moment in time?" Chloe asked, looking at me.

I wonder why.

A//N: First chapter that wasn't exactly like the movie!! How do you like Fairy Godmothers name? I used J because of Jane. Most of the kid's in Decendants have the first initial of atleast one of their parents, so I did that! :) Sorry for the late update, I suck at writing my own things😭
