Narrator's POV:
Nabi is walking through the halls, feeling a little lost as she tries to find her way to class. Suddenly, she hears loud voices coming from around the corner. Curious, she peeks around the corner and sees a group of students surrounding a certain guy. They're laughing and talking in a mocking tone, clearly making fun of him. Nabi watches as one of the students pushes the poor boy against the wall, making some snide comment.
The boy looks weary and miserable. Nabi sees this and feels a pang of sympathy for him, but she brush it off. She thinks that poking her nose into other people's business wouldn't do her any good on her first day on her new school. She's too preoccupied with her own thoughts and concerns to even give interest to other people's lives around her.
As she walks she feels someone fall into step beside her. Looking over, she sees a beautiful young woman who's wearing the same uniform and looked the same age as her. She is wearing a headband and she have a long wavy flowing hair, delicate features, and a graceful presence, but something about her didn't sit right with Nabi.
She gives off a mean girl aura, those type of girls who is super rich and also beautiful, but still decided to bully others who are way below their league. The girl grins at her, saying, "Hey, you're new here, right? I don't think I've seen you around before."
Nabi stood up straight and met girl's gaze. "Yes, I'm new here. Is there something I can help you with?" She said and moved away a little from the girl for she is a bit uncomfortable about the situation.
"Ah, I see, I just haven't seen you around before. I'm Hera, by the way." She said and move closer to Nabi
"You're a new student but you seem a bit familiar to me. Did we perhaps meet before?" Hera asked and Nabi nodded as a response. She remembers her. I mean who wouldn't? He-ra is the daughter of a highly successful trading businessman after all. She's quite famous too even outside the school premises.
"Nice to meet you, Hera. I'm Hwang Nabi." Hera's eyes widened in surprise as she heard the latter's name. She gasps "Hwang Nabi, did you say?" she repeated, something in her voice betraying a hint of shock. Before Nabi could respond, Hera suddenly clung to her, wrapping her arms around Nabi's.
"You have no idea how happy I am to meet you," she said, her voice quivering with unexpected emotion. Nabi was taken aback by Hera's sudden clinginess, not sure what to make of her behavior.
"Um, do you know me?" she asked, removing Hera's arms around hers. Hera feels embarrassed for this so she clears her throat first before speaking.
"I know it was you, the first time I saw you! Your aura screams wealth and power! you are truly Hwang Nabi!" She said smiling eye to eye to Nabi. Her voice lingering with excitement as she held Nabi's hands. Nabi thought it was weird but let it slide besides she needs something from this weird girl too.
"I knew it the first time I saw you too! Yoon Hera, I guess what they said is right. You are really very popular!" She said matching Hera's energy trying to gain her trust. Hera just shrugged, a confident smile plastered on her lips as she crosses her arm infront of her chest.
"Tsk small things, I'm Yoon Hera you know!" She said being boastful about herself she even flip her hair which made Nabi chuckled.
"Hera? Can I ask you for a favour?" Hera's face lit up when Nabi said that. She sees this as an opportunity to get close with the latter so without any further thinking she smiled at Nabi and nodded. "Of course! it's my pleasure to do favours for THE Hwang Nabi!" She excitedly said, Nabi grimace "You are so nice Hera! Thank you so much!"
