Narrator's POV:
Nabi walked quickly through the empty school corridors, her footsteps echoing softly in the silence. She clutched a small envelope in her hand, a note carefully folded inside.
Reaching the row of lockers, she found Kang Ha's locker.Taking a quick look around to ensure she was alone, she opened the locker and quickly placed the envelope inside, closing it gently.
With a final breath, she turned and walked towards the auditorium, her heart racing as she ducked into the darkness, waiting for her prey to appear.Nabi waited in the shadows, her heart pounding. The auditorium was dark and empty, the only light coming from the faint glow of the exit signs.
Nabi's mind raced back to the conversation with her buttler a few days ago. She had asked him to research about Kang Ha, and he'd come back with some interesting information.
"He's not from this city," Cheong-san had told her, his face expressionless. "He's only been here a few months, but he's already made quite an impact.""I searched through all the records I could find," Cheong-san said, his voice even. "But there's almost nothing on him. The only thing I could find out is that he was adopted into a wealthy family, but he still chose to attend school on a scholarship."
Nabi frowned. "What about siblings?" she asked, her voice sharp. "Does he have one?" Cheong-san shook his head. "That's the strange part," he said. "He have one older brother. I scoured every record, every database, but I couldn't find anything on him. It's like he doesn't exist..."
Nabi's eyes widened at that. "That's impossible," she said, a hint of fear in her voice. "Everyone has a digital footprint these days. How can he have nothing at all?"
Cheong-san shrugged helplessly. "I don't know," he said. "I've looked high and low, but there's nothing. It's like he's completely off the grid."
Nabi felt a chill run down her spine. This Kang Ha mystery seemed to get deeper and darker the more she learned about him. Who was he really, and what secrets was he hiding?
She pushed away the unease in her stomach and focused on what Cheong-san had told her. "Anything else?" she asked, her voice steady.
Cheong-san hesitated for a moment, like he was debating whether to say something. After a moment, he spoke again. "There is one more thing..."
Nabi looked at him expectantly, her eyes laced with curio. "What is it?" she asked, her voice low. "I also did some digging into that scholarship student, you told me to find too. The name is Kang i.-Han," Cheong-san said, his voice soft.
"And I found something that might be connected." Nabi listened intently, her eyes never leaving his face. "What is it?" she asked, her voice taut with anticipation.
"I found out that he has a younger brother," Cheong-san said, his expression serious. "A brother who, oddly enough, has no records either."
Nabi's heart skipped a beat at that. "No records?" she repeated, her voice laced with disbelief. "How is that even possible?"
"I have no explanation," Cheong-san said, his voice grave. "It's like he's a complete ghost. No birth certificate, no school records, nothing."
Nabi's mind spun with questions and theories. This entire situation with Kang Ha and Kang Il-Hwan was getting more and more puzzling by the minute.
Meanwhile Kang Ha walked through the nearly empty hallway, on his way to his locker. Everything was quiet around him, and the only sound was the echo of his shoes on the cold linoleum floor. He reached his locker and began to open it, but stopped when he saw an envelope tucked inside.
