Now playing... Boss Bitch -Doja Cat
Narrator's POV:
It was another day for Nabi as she was aimlessly strolling down the hallway, completely detached from the world around her. Her attention was immersed in her phone, she's scrolling through her social media feed. To shut out any distractions, she had her earpods firmly in place, pumping music into her ears. Unaware of her surroundings, she continued strolling, oblivious to the people passing her by.
On the other end of the hallway, a teacher strutted towards Nabi with a sense of self-assuredness. She was clutching a lavish Birkin Hermès bag, the epitome of luxury and status. Her confident demeanor and the extravagant accessory on her arm exuded an aura of superiority.
Nabi, her earpods in and mind focused on her phone, bumped to the teacher with the Birkin Hermès bag. The impact sending a jolt through Nabi as she stumbled slightly. Looking up from her screen, she caught a glimpse of the teacher and her luxurious Birkin Hermès bag, but instead of halting, she continued walking as if nothing had happened.
The teacher, a bit irritated by Nabi's indifferent attitude, called out to her, but her voice fell on deaf ears. Nabi's earpods pumped loud music, effectively muting the teacher's attempts to get her attention. Oblivious to the teacher's calls, Nabi casually walked away, immersed in her own world.
The teacher, exasperated by Nabi's continued indifference, reached out and grabbed her hand, effectively stopping her in her tracks. Startled, Nabi removed one earpod and looked up, only to see the familiar face of their homeroom teacher. Her expression shifted from nonchalance to mild annoyance.
"Nabi," the teacher spoke sternly, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Do you have any idea how disrespectful it is to walk away without acknowledging someone you have just bump with?"
Nabi, now fully aware of who was addressing her, closed her phone and turn her full attention to the teacher. Her annoyance evident. "Sorry," she muttered, her voice lacking sincerity. "I didn't see you there."
The teacher raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced by Nabi's half-hearted apology. "It's not just about not seeing me," she said pointedly. "You had your earpods in, clearly engrossed in something on your phone. Did you even notice that we bumped to eachother?"
Nabi, realizing she had been caught in her distraction, sighs her irritation growing. "Yeah, I did notice," she replied defensively. "But it was just a little bump. No big deal, right?"
The teacher's expression hardened, her eyes boring into Nabi's. "It may not have seemed like a big deal to you, but it's about common courtesy and respect," she reprimanded. "If you can't even show a basic level of respect and acknowledgement after bumping with someone, that's a serious issue."
Nabi huffed, her annoyance growing. "I already said sorry" she retorted, her tone becoming increasingly defiant. "What more do you want from me? It was an accident."
The teacher sighed, her patience wearing thin. "It's not just about the accident, Nabi," she said sternly. "It's about your overall attitude. You were completely oblivious to your surroundings, walking around with earpods in your ears, and now showing any remorse for being rude and disrespectful."
Nabi rolled her eyes, her frustration mounting. "Oh, please," she sneered. "I was just minding my own business. Can't I even enjoy a bit of music without being scolded for it?"
The teacher's expression hardened further, her eyes narrowing at Nabi's insolent tone. "You enjoying the music isn't the issue," she stated firmly. "It's your blatant disregard for basic manners and the people around you that's the problem."
