VALENTINES

Today holds a different air, a solemn hue,

Since you departed, leaving my world askew.

Valentine's Day dawns, a bittersweet affair,

Reminding me of the love we used to share.

I'll flip through old photos, a solitary act,

Recalling the warmth of the love we once packed.

But where are you now, in this empty space?

Gone with the wind, without a trace.

A bouquet of flowers and chocolates, tokens of your love,

And a letter promising forever, sent from above.

Yet here I stand, alone on this day of hearts and red,

Wondering where our forever went, the words left unsaid.
