Whenever we share a homecooked meal,
You always savor the warmth,
Reveling in the heat,
Each bite a comforting embrace.
So I promised you,
That when we wed,
Cold meals would never touch your plate,
For your joy would be my unending duty.
But now that you're gone,
I find myself alone with a cold meal,
An empty seat before me,
A chilling reminder of your absence.
