I want to be with you in the days ahead,
Though my past actions fill you with dread.
Hoping love can mend what's torn apart,
Rebuild trust, heal the wounded heart.
Waiting for miracles, it seems, in vain,
Torn between setting you free from this pain,
Or continue fighting for us, make things right,
Caught in this struggle, day and night.
I long to walk beside you, through sun and rain,
To mend what's broken, ease the ache of pain.
Yet, the choice is yours, as it has always been,
To forgive, to forget, or to begin again.
