In the aftermath of our parting ways,I found myself seeking comfort, craving space to breathe.
Within the confines of home, I ensconced myself,
Drowning in the memories of us, suffocating in despair.
Thus, I resolved to break free from routine,
Venturing into the unknown, week after week.
Each step, each trail, unveiling vistas anew,
Distracting me momentarily from the ache of missing you.
Bathed in the sweat of my exertion,
I found solace in the burning of thoughts that plagued.
Upon reaching the summit, your name escaped my lips,
Whispered into the abyss, a testament to the love that remained.
