In our inaugural Christmas, not quite official yet,You bestowed upon me a present, a heart-shaped necklace,
Placing it tenderly around my neck, a smile adorning your face,
Wishing fervently for your heart to be forever intertwined with mine.
But now, you've departed, leaving behind the necklace clasped around my neck,
I wear it proudly, a testament to your affection.
Yet, the heart that once beat solely for me,
Now brims with anguish and uncertainty.
