SUNBLOCK

The sun's fierce rays, I truly can't bear,

Sunblock, my skin's defense, I wear with care.

Recall the day we ventured to the shore,

And you resisted sunscreen, wanting nothing more.

Hours under the sun's relentless glare,

I urged you to apply, to show you I care.

To our surprise, your face turned a shade of gray,

We chuckled, realizing the sunblock's delay.

Memories of that joyous time still linger,

So vivid, I yearn for it with every fiber.

Could we revisit the beach, just us two,

And bask in each other's presence, anew?
