kylie ran into Patrick's open arms, both of them immediately connecting their lips for a long kiss as the red and yellow confetti fell around them. "You won! I'm so fucking proud of you!" she beamed, wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him close, burrying her nose into the crook of his neck and breathing in the faint smell of his cologne. "thank you." he breathed into her neck, completely engulfing her in his arms. "thank you so much, baby." "I can't believe you, you're amazing!" kylie smiled widely, not letting go of her boyfriend. "thank you for coming tonight ky, I love you." he kissed her temple and she pulled away from the hug to look up at him. "I love you too" she beamed, taking his face in both of her hands and kissing him on the lips "so much. so fucking much" she kissed him again and again, planting small, tender kisses all over his face. she released his from her embrace as she noticed his mom coming up to them, along with a few more of his family members. "mom!" patrick called out as he embraced his mom in a hug, kylie watching them both as they shared the sweet moment together. she couldn't even remember the last time she was this happy, she honestly felt like she could cry at that very moment. travis came over and kylie noticed him, giving him a hug too. "well done trav. you did so well!" she smiled. "and you!" she turned, congratulating another teammate, skyy, who had also appeared with travis, and patting him on the back. "c'mere baby." she heard patrick say as he pulled her close to him once again. he slid his hands down to her butt and picked her up with ease, causing her to squeal and wrap her legs and arms around him like a koala. kylie looked down into his eyes and kissed him. it was a long kiss, both of them forgetting that they were surrounded by seventy six thousand other people that were watching from the stands. "I'm so goddam proud of you." she told him as she pulled away. "so, so, so fucking proud of you."
"i shouldnt have done that." patrick muttered as they walked off the field and into the tunnel a while later. he kept his voice hushed so no cameras picked up what he was saying. "done what?" kylie questioned. "picked you up." he replied, keeping his eyes staring straight ahead. "shit, did i hurt your ankle? I didn't even think im sorry." she apologised, her hand moving from around his back to holding onto his arm. "you didn't hurt anything." he chuckled, emphasising on the word hurt. "but I don't think this hand warmer can hide what you did do for much longer." kylies eyes widened and she looked up and him. he stayed staring straight ahead, biting down a laugh as they approached the door to the locker room. "you're unbelievable, you know. hurry up in there, we can stop at the hotel before the party." she murmered softly in his ear and kissed him quickly before he went in.
as soon as the couple got inside their hotel room, kylie found herself laying flat on her back on the bed, with patrick above her, gently running his hands along her body as they slowly made out. she whimpered into the kiss as he slipped one of his hands underneath her shirt, gently caressing her smooth skin. "I love you." she murmered, stroking her thumb along his cheek. "so much, you have no idea." "I do have an idea." he replied. "because I love you exactly the same. more, though. I will always love you more."
