"Snape?" I looked at my professor and uncle in shock.

"What are you doing here? What's going on?" I was happy to see my uncle, but under these circumstances, I don't think this was a family reunion.

"You must leave, Lorenzo. Leave the boy alone," Sirius spoke. Wow, straight to the point, I guess, but what the hell did that mean?

"Wh-what? What the fuck are you talking about?" I could feel myself getting angry.

I swear the Slytherin house always had the most problematic situations, none of us could ever catch a break and I knew it was just going to get worse.

"You must leave him. It's in your best interest and his that you two not be together. I'm aware that you smelled Mr. Riddle in your love potion. When Mr. Riddle's father comes back—and he will with time—it would be in your best interest to make the right decision. You love Lorenzo, yes, but deep down, you know your love isn't as strong," I couldn't believe the words that were coming out of Snape's mouth.

I felt like I had just been slapped in the face.

I looked over at my uncle with pleading eyes. "Surely you can't believe this rubbish, Uncle. You love Enzo!" I knew I was in denial; I knew our time was coming to an end, but I just couldn't accept it.

"My dear, you know what must be done," was all he said.

I felt defeated, like I was losing the one thing I always held onto to keep me grounded, the person who always knew how to make me smile.

"How long do I have?" I whispered.

"Six months," Snape said. "Naturally, your body and heart will know what to do. It won't be forced," my uncle spoke after Snape.

I sat on my bed, fighting back the tears. "You should go," I looked up at Snape.

He took the hint and left, leaving me with my uncle.

"He's the only person I've ever loved. He's the one who showed me what real love feels like," my voice cracked and tears fell down my cheeks.

"I know, dear, but you also know that your time is over on both sides." It was true; our connection was slowly slipping away.

"What's going to happen? Is he really going to come back?" I whispered.

I couldn't even begin to think of what would happen, the disasters that awaited.

I knew everything was going to change.

"If we don't win the war, you're going to have to make a vow to You-Know-Who. We're one of the oldest and purest bloodlines. It will help his image." That was a bunch of nonsense, pure bullshit.

"I have to go now, but I'll be back soon," he spoke. My body felt completely numb.

I felt his arms wrap around me, and I did my best to return the hug before he was gone.

I stared at my ceiling, thinking about everything that had just happened.

I pulled out my phone, staring at the screen for a few seconds.

"Come over," I texted him, taking a deep breath. What was I doing?

Not long after, I heard my door open and looked up to see Mattheo.

"Couldn't stay away from me, huh?" He smirked. I couldn't stand that smirk; it made me want to rip my skin off my body.

"No, I need to talk to you." My voice was firm. I guess my tone told him how serious I was because I saw the confusion flicker through his eyes.
