The Slytherin common room was a haven of warmth and coziness, its atmosphere a stark contrast to the chill of the evening air outside.
Flickering flames danced in the grand fireplace, casting a soft, glow over the green and silver room.
The plush, green velvet sofas and armchairs, mixed with intricate silver embroidery, invited relaxation.
Students lounged around, engrossed in their own conversations and studies, their voices a low murmur that mingled with the crackle of the fire.
I sat on one of the sofas, my excitement evident despite my calm demeanor.
my eyes gaze to the clock on the wall, noting the approaching hour, The anticipation had been building, a thrilling knot in my chest.
As I looked up from my book, Mattheo entered the room, his presence almost magnetic.
He was wearing a black hoodie, with jeans and his curls looked perfect rather than the usual mess.
"Ready for our little adventure?" he asked, leaning casually against the armrest of the sofa where I sat.
I looked up at him, my eyes sparkling with curiosity and excitement.
"Absolutely. I've been dying to know what you've planned," I smiled brightly at him, I couldn't contain my excitement.
Mattheo's smile widened, and a glint of mystery sparkled in his eyes. "Well, you'll just have to be patient a little longer. Trust me, it's worth it."
My grin grew even wider, unable to contain my enthusiasm.
He extended his hand towards me, and I took it with a mix of excitement and trust.
His fingers were warm against the cool evening air, and as we stepped out of the common room, I felt a thrill of anticipation.
come to think of it this was the first time I've held his hands and to my surprise they were super soft and warm, not what I had imagined.
I felt the heat rise to my cheeks as I looked our our hands and quickly look straight ahead as we walked, but I couldn't help the smile on my face and I could feel Mattheo looking at me too.
The corridors of Hogwarts were quiet and still, a serene contrast to the usual bustling activity.
We walked side by side, our footsteps echoing softly on the stone floor. The chill of the night air greeted us as we stepped outside, and I pulled my coat tighter around myself.
The snow crunched beneath our feet, the ground sparkling faintly in the moonlight. The sky was a deep indigo, scattered with stars that twinkled like distant diamonds.
Mattheo guided me towards the edge of the Forbidden Forest. The trees stood dark and imposing against the night sky, their branches casting long, eerie shadows.
The path we followed was narrow and winding, with low-hanging branches occasionally brushing against us.
After a brisk walk that seemed to stretch forever in the cold, the path opened up, revealing a small, secluded cliff.
My breath caught in my throat as I stepped onto the snowy edge.
Before me lay a breathtaking panorama: Hogwarts Castle, majestic and illuminated, stood proudly in the distance, while the village of Hogsmede was a smattering of warm, golden lights below.
The cliff was adorned with delicate fairy lights, their soft, twinkling glow casting a magical sheen over the snow and the landscape before us.
"This is incredible," I breathed, my voice barely more than a whisper.
