Y/N found that it was rather difficult to fit in with human society. Years of being the last living thing, years of fighting a losing war, and years before that being an absolute ruler had turned him into a socially awkward person in matters that didn't relate to the military
How was he supposed to remember that beer wasn't free?
Sitting alone in the corner booth of the place where he had decided to have lunch Y/N watched as everyday people walked by enjoying their days. This too was weird. Seeing people enjoy life even during times of war. The last he remembered of humanity they had been shadows of the people he saw now, always huddling in fear, afraid of touch and love from any but their closest friends and family
Taking a sip of his beer Y/N allowed himself to drift down the roads of memory lane, thinking over friends and family he had lost and would never see again. Most prominent were his sisters, people he had never been able to meet
His twin ship, the Tyrannin, had never been completed, torn to shreds in a Siren bombing that had only missed him due to being at a different port at the time. He had been told later on that she was to be a replica of him, or him an exact replica of her. That part was never clear. They were to be the ships to lead the charge against the Sirens in a 2 pronged attack. Only one prong came to be
His other 2 sisters shared a different fate. Meisterin and Herrin, meant to be built using the same metal Tyrannin was once constructed from had been decommissioned in favour of constructing some smaller ships that were never of enough importance to be granted a Wisdom Cube
Siblings that he would never meet, that's what the three of them were. It was strange, in a way, to mourn someone who never existed yet Y/N felt the sadness all the same. They were a hole in his heart that was never filled and despite his found family those spots always remained open for them
Next came the thoughts of the 2 who had filled those spots the most
Bismarck. King of the Ocean. How they used to laugh at such a title, both at her lack of actual rulership and the fact she was a Queen rather than a king. She had kept the title, of course. Who wouldn't want to be called the King of the oceans all ships sail?
Tirpitz... Was it funny he dated his best friend's sister? They hadn't been particularly close in the beginning, passing greetings and cold discussions, but Bismarck was a force of nature when it came to getting them to like each other. Tripitz had been cold and distant and he had been no better in those days, but Bismarck forced them into a room and didn't let them out till they had a proper conversation
It hadn't taken long for them to start dating after that
"Mind if I sit here?"
Y/N let loose a hum without opening his eyes, intent on remaining in his memories, specifically those with Tripitz as they attended one of the many balls hosted by the British and their royalty. She was always beautiful, but on those particular days she looked more angel than Kansen
"Do you come here often?"
A non-committal hum in return
Tirpitz was a queen among women and a goddess among mortals. Despite everything they went through she had never bowed or been broken. Even when Bismarck... passed, Tirpitz had been a pillar in his life that he would have gladly laid his life down for
"I take that as a no?"
Shame he hadn't been able to in the end
"Hello?"
"Lady, how do you not understand that I don't want to talk?" Y/N loved humans, truely he did. With all their quirks and differences what wasn't to love about them? They were so driven and determined he couldn't help but route for them. Shame some of them were annoying
