The following afternoon, Abro was wandering through the area near Annie's father's restaurant, lost in thoughts of her. The restaurant's familiar facade brought a sense of warmth and nostalgia. As he walked closer, something caught his eye-a "Help Wanted" sign in the window, seeking part-time staff. His heart skipped a beat.
Without a moment's hesitation, Abro walked into the restaurant. The place was bustling with the usual dinner rush, the aroma of delicious food wafting through the air. He approached the counter, where a middle-aged man, whom he recognized as Annie's father, was busy taking orders.
"Excuse me," Abro said, trying to sound confident. "I saw the notice for a part-time job. Is it still available?"
Annie's father looked up, appraising him with a quick glance. "Yes, it is. We could use the help, especially during the evening rush. Have you worked in a restaurant before?"
"No, sir," Abro admitted. "But I'm a quick learner, and I'm willing to work hard."
Annie's father nodded thoughtfully. "Alright. We can give you a trial shift tonight. Can you start now?"
Abro's heart raced. "Yes, absolutely."
