The next day, Abro felt a renewed sense of purpose. He had been honest with Annie, and though it had been difficult, he knew it was the right thing to do. He couldn't wait to see her again, to continue building on the fragile connection they had started.

During lunch, he spotted Annie sitting alone under a tree, reading a book. Taking a deep breath, he walked over and sat down beside her. She looked up, a hint of a smile playing on her lips.

"Hey," she said, closing her book. "Back for more?"

"Yeah," Abro replied, smiling. "I wanted to talk to you about something you said yesterday. You mentioned wondering about all the times I was around."

Annie nodded, her expression curious.

Abro took a deep breath. "I want you to wonder more about me, to be more curious about other things about me. You see, I can be very delusional. I can twist words into things for my benefit. Be more careful when saying things that give me a hint of a bigger chance, because during those times, it's hard... it's impossibly hard to contain myself."

Annie raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "What do you mean?"

Abro leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a whisper. "You are very cute."

Annie's eyes widened slightly as he continued, his words barely audible. "Your demeanor, others might see it as cold or somewhat loner-like, but I find it very cute."

Annie's cheeks flushed a delicate shade of pink. She looked away, clearly affected by his words. "I don't know what to say."

Abro smiled softly. "Can I be more honest about what I think?"

Annie met his gaze, her eyes searching his. "Go ahead."

"Being around you, it's like being in a different world," Abro said, his voice earnest. "The way you speak, your presence... it's so captivating. I want to understand you better, to be close to you. And not just because of your beauty, but because of everything that makes you who you are."

Annie was silent for a moment, processing his words. "You really mean that, don't you?"

"I do," Abro replied, his eyes never leaving hers. "I know it might sound intense, but I can't help how I feel. I just want to be honest with you."

Annie took a deep breath, her expression softening. "I appreciate that, Abro. It's rare to find someone so open about their feelings."

Abro felt a surge of relief and happiness. "Does that mean you're not put off by it?"

Annie shook her head, a small smile forming on her lips. "No, it doesn't. In fact, I find it... refreshing. Just don't expect me to open up as easily."

"I won't," Abro promised. "I know it will take time. But I'm willing to wait."

Annie looked at him for a long moment, then nodded. "Alright. Let's take things slow and see where this goes."

Abro's heart soared. "Thank you, Annie. For giving me a chance."

She smiled, and it was like the sun breaking through the clouds. "You're welcome, Abro."

As they sat there under the tree, talking and getting to know each other better, Abro felt a deep sense of contentment. He knew there would be challenges ahead, but he was ready to face them with honesty and a determination.
