As the days turned into weeks, Abro and Annie found a new rhythm. Their time together at the restaurant became a dance of sorts-professional during work hours, with stolen moments of personal connection when they were alone.

One evening, after another busy shift, they decided to grab a late-night snack from a nearby food truck. Sitting on a bench, eating their food, the atmosphere between them felt more relaxed, more intimate.

"How are you finding the job?" Annie asked, breaking the comfortable silence.

"It's challenging," Abro admitted, "but I like it. I like being here, with you."

Annie smiled, a genuine, warm smile that made Abro's heart flutter. "I'm glad. You've been a big help. My dad's noticed too."

"Really?" Abro asked, feeling a swell of pride.

"Yeah," Annie said. "He thinks you're doing great. He even mentioned it might be a good idea for you to take on more responsibility."

Abro's eyes widened in surprise. "Wow, that's... that's amazing. I'd love to."

Annie nodded, her expression thoughtful. "I think it's a good idea too. But remember, this job isn't just about us. It's about the restaurant, the customers. It's a lot of hard work."

"I know," Abro said earnestly. "I'm ready for it."

They finished their meal in silence, the night air cool and refreshing. As they walked back to the restaurant to pick up their things, Abro felt a sense of contentment. He was getting closer to Annie, and he was willing to do whatever it took to keep earning her trust.
