"Ehrm," Khadija announced her presence. "Ibrahim, the principal wants to see you," she said, trying not to lock eyes with either of them.

Khadija left, and the silence between Asiya and Ibrahim grew thicker. Ibrahim’s eyes, still red from crying, met Asiya’s concerned gaze. His vulnerability was palpable, and Asiya’s heart ached seeing him this way.

"Mr. Ige wants to see you. Do you want to go? Or I can tell him you don't feel well," she offered softly.

Ibrahim raised his head, his red eyes like hot coals burning into her heart.

"I'll go see him," he said quietly.

As he stood, he extended his hand to her. "Let's go," he said, his voice gentle yet firm.
"Okay, let's go," she said, getting on her feet.

Unexpectedly, he pulled her into a tight embrace, holding her as if she might slip away. She wrapped her arms around him, feeling the intensity of his need.

"I just need a minute in your arms. I love you, Sia'm."

"I love you more, Aşkim," she whispered back, her voice trembling with emotion.

They stood like that for a moment longer, drawing strength from each other's presence.

When he finally let go, he took her hand, and they walked out of the library together.

In the principal's office, Ahmad, Fahad, and some other students who had witnessed the incident were already there.

Ibrahim walked in and greeted Mr. Ige.

"Ibrahim, I have heard what happened from other students, but I still want to hear everything from you. In your six years of being here, you have never fought with anyone," Mr. Ige said.

"I believe what they have said is the truth, and it was very wrong for us to fight in the school premises or even fight at all we could have solve our differences amicably. It won't happen again, we apologise." he said, looking at Mr. Ige.

"Ibrahim, I see you don't want to drag this further. So  You will be responsible for the library upkeep, and Fahad will be responsible for the Physics and Chemistry lab upkeep for a month. You are both dismissed," Mr. Ige said.

"Okay, sir," they both replied and headed out.

Asiya was waiting outside for Ibrahim. The moment he stepped out, she bombarded him with questions, her concern evident in her eyes. "Aşkım, what did he say? What action has he decided to take? Aşkım, is he really mad?"

Fahad, standing by the door, was clearly irritated by how worried she was about Ibrahim. "Mtsw," he muttered, making a sound of annoyance.

Asiya finally noticed him and gave him a look that screamed, "You disgust me."Ibrahim couldn't help but smile at her fierce protectiveness. He took her hand, his touch tender and reassuring. "Sia'mm, that's enough, okay?" he whispered. He cherished the way she cared for him, something he had never experienced from anyone else. He longed to hug her but knew he couldn’t, so he caressed her hand instead, drawing small circles with his thumb.

"I'm assigned to the library's upkeep for the month," he said softly, watching her reaction closely.

"You’re kidding!" she exclaimed, her surprise evident. "We love the library!"

The look on her face made his heart swell with affection. Her eyes sparkled, and her lips curled into a smile that lit up her entire face. He wanted nothing more than to pull her into his arms  but he settled for holding her hand a little tighter.

The tension between them was palpable, a magnetic pull that made it hard for them to be apart. Even the smallest touch sent sparks flying, and their connection was undeniable. They walked together, fingers intertwined, lost in their little world of love and affection.
