The following day, Cassy printed her call up letter in her room and proceeded to the university she graduated from.

There, she did the necessary documentation. She was the only one from her state who had cheated. She was therefore alone in this.

Inside the administrative office, her call up letter was stamped and she received a small printout with the list of items she was supposed to get in preparation for camp.

1. Two pair of white stockings(provided by camp).
2. Two plain white shorts. (provided by camp).
3. Two plain white T-shirts. (Provided by camp).
4. A pair of white sneakers. (Provided by camp).
4. Bucket, pail, rubber cutleries, some clothes, general toiletries.

Cassy went shopping for the necessary items. Deciding she needed tips, she called Inara. She would rather talk to Zee and Inara than talk to her father or step mother about this, she thought.

"Hello, Cassy." Inara greeted and Cassy opened up to her about her plight. Inara politely sympathized with her and suggested she get her own pair of sneakers, tshirts and shorts because the camp often provided poor quality ones. And that the sneakers provided were often very low quality tennis shoes.

Cassy was appalled. She thanked Inara and proceeded to follow her advice, purchasing what she needed.

She also called Zee for advice and Zee mentioned she should purchase her favorite snacks as the camp food and shops would not sell some certain snacks like chocolates and Pringles.

"Also, please I hope you're not buying your buckets and bailer from here."

"Why not? Inara said It's necessary for water storage in case the camp is terrible with basic facilities."

"It's necessary but it would be too much load to carry. Are you flying there or going by road?"

"I will be flying."

"Wait, which state were you posted to?"

"Wester."

"Oh, the middlebelt. Thank God it's not the North with all the insecurity."

"Yeah."

"But anyway, whether you're flying or not, the camps usually sell things like that. Maybe that detail skipped Inara."

"Oh, that's a relief then. I don't want to carry too much. Thanks."

"You're welcome."

"I really don't want any stress in this whole NYSC issue."

"Don't worry. You will be fine."

"Thanks."

"By the way, Wester is a nice place. My husband has a vacation house there. We were there some months back." Zee had just said the words and regretted it. She really didn't want to be close to Cassy, given their history. She just wanted Cassy to relax.

"Oh." Said Cassy. She fought to hide her offense at Zee's pronouncement. Did she ask Zee anything? Why would Zee mention a vacation home? Was she trying to brag? After all, Michael was with her first before Zee got him. Yes, she messed up but still, it wasn't enough for Zee to brag with Michael.

"Well, that's nice." She feigned a sweet response but she fumed inside. The anger drew her mind back to the game of the last dare.

"Thanks, well, bye for now." Zee said, interrupting her thoughts.

"Ok. Bye." Cassy replied and began to bite her fingernail in agitation. How could she forget about her main goal?

It was things like this that reminded her of her goal to marry a billionaire, a hot one.

"Hope I will be seeing you and Inara at my birthday." Cassy said.

Zee didn't want to outrightly deny her invitation. "Sure." She responded.

"Oh. Okay. See you there."

After the call, Cassy proceeded to purchase what she needed. She could not wait to get this camp thing over with. At thesame time thoughts about playing the last dare game occupied her mind. She decided she  would celebrate her birthday first and see how things go from there.

After her shopping, she returned home and flopped down on the bed inside her room.

Just then she received the bill for her birthday from the planner on her messenger. The money was a thousand and five hundred. It was huge. She hoped her father would not complain.

She forwarded the bill to him and immediately, her phone rang.

"Dad." She said sullenly.

"That bill is too high."

"Dad, you have the money."

"That is not the issue. This extravagance is unnecessary."

"This is my birthday, Dad. I'm your only child. Why are you doing this to me?"

"Cassy, I always celebrate your birthday. I'm just saying cut down on the expenses. You don't need an artist to come and perform."

"Dad, I didn't invite some famous artist. It's just a couple of local artists here. Please give me the money. This isn't fair."

"Oh God."

"Daddy, please, please."

There was a bit of silence on the other end.

"Dad?"

"I will send the money." He said non excitedly.

"Thanks Dad." She said, happy that most times she was able to get her way.

After the call, she thought about Inara and Zee. She could not wait to show off to them. They were not the only ones with something to brag about.
