Thomas's POV:

It's the next day now, but I am in the worst position ever. Maria has been holding me by my arm the entire time. The times we did separate, she forced me to bring her along. It is starting to become very troublesome, I can't even get to the library.

Right now, we're in bed. She's been cuddling up with me all night, but I need to escape somehow. I then look outside; the sun is rising now. That means everything should be opening up now. I then look beside me. Maria is there. Her arms are trapping me to the bed, preventing my escape.

I then take my pillow and place it between us as I slip out. As I slowly get out of her grasp, her arms tighten around the pillow. Good, everything is going according to plan. I then get out of the bed and sneak towards the door, avoiding the creaky spots of the room from my previous attempts.

I get to the door and turn the nob; this is the hardest part now. The door creaks whether it's being opened or closed, meaning I need to be very slow and patient. I then pull out one of my oil pots and begin to spill some onto the hinges of the door, allowing me to stealthily escape.

I finally opened the door, no squeaks or creaks to stop me. I then get to the stairs and slowly closed the door, not wanting to make a sound. It then closed, not a single sound to be heard. I have finally escaped her grasps for now, but that means that I have to be fast. I need to get books for me, breakfast for us, and finally, come back to her before she wakes up.

I go down the stairs, making as little noise as possible. I get to the door and open it up before leaving. I finally, successfully escaped her grasp. Now, let me get to the library and find the books I'll need. I then started walking down the street, looking around while speed walking. Then, the Moon Presence appeared again.

Moon Presence: "Seems you finally escaped the lions den."

Thomas: "Yeah, she'll have an iron grip on me once she finds out I escaped."

Moon Presence: "Indeed. So, I'll let you know if she awakes from her slumber. Until then, do what you need to do."

Thomas: "Thanks."

I then began to jog, hoping to reach a library I'll need. I then see it, it's a library! A big one, too. I then go in.

Librarian: "Hello sir, welcome to the Vale Community Library. If you'd like to find some specific books, I can help you."

Thomas: "Hello, I was wondering if you could help me find books for gunsmithing."

Librarian: "Why exactly do you need those books?"

She's looking at me suspiciously.

Thomas: "I'm starting a business here in Vale and was hoping to find books that could teach me how to fix and clean guns."

Librarian: "Hmm, I see. Well, I do have books like that. Though, I will need to see your ID before I hand them over."

I then dig through my pockets and pull out my forged ID.

Thomas: "Here you are, miss."

She then takes it and begins to type something on the computer. After a minute or so, she gave me back my ID.

Librarian: "Well, you're all set, sir. I'll get the books now."

She then walks off to a backroom of the library. I then stand there, patiently but growing a little more fearful. If Maria wakes up, she'll make sure that I'll never leave. The librarian then comes back.

Librarian: "Here you are, sir; these should suffice for now."

She handed me three books for me to use. And seeing as how she says "These should suffice for now" means there is probably more. I then looked at the books.
