Thomas's POV:
It's been a few days now since my withdrawals, and with the help of the doll, I was able to recover quickly. While yes, she can be a bit protective of me at times, I still appreciate her help, even if it is restricting. Luckily though, it's give me time to actually read more and tend to my shop. Today, I was cleaning up a bit in my shop, stocking some more things onto the shelves. However, as I put the last of the throwing knives on the shelf, my door opens.
Thomas: "Hello. Welcome to the Hunter's Workshop. How may I help you?"
As I came out from the aisle, I then see that I recognize this customer. It was that boy, Jaune was it? I then remembered that I rented him my Tonitrus.
Thomas: "Oh yeah, I remember you. I see you've finally found time to come and return my Tonitrus."
Jaune: "Yes, I'm sorry about not bringing it back on time, but Beacon has a very strict curfew."
Thomas: "Oh no, it's no problem. Besides, you brought it back anyways, so you're about more reliable than any other person. After all, someone would've just kept it if they wanted to."
I then went to my counter.
Thomas: "May I have it back now?"
The boy, Jaune, then handed me my baby, but something was.... Off.
As I took my Tonitrus in my hands, I felt that... It was lighter than before. Not too light, but with how much I used it, I know something about its weight changed. I lifted it a bit, swinging it a few times as well. Then, I turned it on. It sparked to life, but I now knew why it was so light... Someone opened it up and cleaned its insides.
I then looked up a Jaune.
Thomas: "Who cleaned it?"
Jaune looked at me, surprised that I had noticed.
Jaune: "O-Oh, it was m-!"
Thomas: "No it wasn't, now tell me who cleaned my weapon?"
He then looked defeated, and a bit sad that I had immediately called him out on his lie.
Jaune: "Huff.... Ok, look. I asked a friend of mine if I could borrow a pistol for my fight, but in exchange, she wanted me to hand over the Tonitrus so she could look at it after said fight."
I then gasped, my anger now flaring up.
Thomas: "You let someone touch my baby!?"
I then opened up the Tonitrus, looking through everything and making sure nothing in it was damaged. However, I did notice a few things had been... Replaced. Wires mostly since the electricity may have melted some of them. There was also the lack of gunk in the Tonitrus itself, meaning yes, it had been cleaned up. All in all though, it would seem that my Tonitrus, for the most part, was fine.
Thomas: "Huff... You better be glad that person knew what they were doing. However, lets see if you fulfilled your end of the deal. You got your sword?"
Jaune then showed me the scabbard on his side, his sword held in place.
Jaune: "Yeah, I got it right here, why?"
Thomas: "May I see it?"
Jaune seemed to hesitate, but eventually handed it to me. I then began to inspect it, looking at every detail. It was a simple, boring, yet effective sword. Its cross guard and pommel look like they were made from gold, shining brightly under the light, and its handle was a clash between two blues, one darker, one lighter. Its blade was clean, well restored, and properly maintained... Then I took it, putting it behind my counter.
