Pain. That's the first thing that came into Medora's mind. Smoke came next. She couldn't see anything very well. She scrambled for her seatbelt buckle and quickly snapped it off. She didn't realize that she was upside-down and thus landed on a foot with a crack. Stupid shoes. Ow. Nope that doesn't work. She thought as she tried to get up.
Medora, on her good foot, reached up for her backpack that was caught underneath (now on top) of the seat that would've been in front of her. She sat back down and pulled off her heels. A shot of pain ran up her right leg. She slipped on one sneaker but struggled with the other. My ankle has swollen to the size of a watermelon... why does my body hate me?
I need to get out of here... She thought. It slowly dawned on her that she was on a plane with other people.
"Oh God." she whispered and looked up. I can't see through this smoke. Ugh, if only it a window broke or something... Just as she thought that, windows started shattering. "What?"
The smoke started curl out of the windows and the upside-down plane cleared up. What she saw terrified her to her bones.
Limbs of different people hung in the hair; hair dangled in clumps; and worst of all, the blood. Some girls were obviously banged up since the windows near them were splattered with red.
"Hello? Can anyone hear me?" Medora called. She waited for something but received nothing in return.
How am I even alive... She thought. I-I need to get out.
Medora tried to get up but crumpled to the ground. A sob escaped her throat. "No, you need to get out of here idiot." she tried said trying to encourage herself.
Slowly, she crawled to find one of the exits, the nearest one being the door she originally came through to board the plane. Her body felt weak, like she lost a lot of strength exercising. She wanted to lay there in front of the door and take a long deep sleep for ages. Keep moving. This is like one of those survival movies. Medora reached up and pulled down on a latch that released the door. Sunlight shined in which made her squint.
She was just about to crawl out when she realized something-food. Once again, she started crawling towards the food and drink cart that was flipped and had ice cubes laying around. Medora propped herself against a cabinet and pulled her bag onto her lap. Medora started collecting the ice cubes in hope of using them to bring down the swelling in her ankle. She searched her bag and found an old sandwich plastic baggie and put all the ice cubes in it; she stowed that in her backpack. Next on her list was the food. The only thing she could see were the many pre-wrapped bags of salted pretzels. Medora fit as many as she could in her backpack. Scanning the cart, she saw napkins. Probably good for a fire. Many of those were folded and inserted in a front pocket of the bag. Satisfied with what she collected, Medora made her way to the open door.
She took a deep breath and relished the fresh air. Medora looked down from the hatch and saw the drop was about seven-ish feet. With a sigh, she dangled her legs over the edge. Twisting around, she grabbed the ledge and dropped her body.
"Okay, just don't kill yourself."
Tucking her injured foot, she let go but landed on her back. Medora quickly lost her breath but tried to heave in some air. I can't do this...surviving on my own. I just need help. Help? Who can help me here. Medora glanced down to her hands. Are they glowing purple? No, the smoke must be getting to my head.
Medora shook herself off and attempted to stand. She knew she wasn't able to walk properly, so she searched for some sort of stick she could use. Limping around, she found a large stick with random knobs along the sides. She reached and collected some twigs and put those in her bag.
With her walking stick, she awkwardly stumbled about in search of some shelter. After fifteen minutes, maybe less than a mile from the wreckage, she came across a dark opening. Some sort of cave loomed over and encouraged her to enter.
"Hello?" Medora squeaked out. Stupid! You don't know what could be in there...
When there was no response, she presumed it was the safest spot. Medora felt blind as she walked into the cave tapping her walking stick to make sure she didn't hit anything. She wasn't far in, but it was almost completely dark except for the dim light coming from the entrance.
A fire was the first thing on her mind. She pulled out the sticks and napkins she collected and started shredding the paper to pieces.
Medora couldn't properly remember how to make a fire but did the best he could. She felt around for rocks and placed them in a circle; next she placed the now torn napkins in small like. She took two sticks and attempted to start a fire.
"I can't do this... I just want a stupid fire!"
Immediately, a fire blazed and lit the cave. Medora sat with her jaw to the floor with many questions exploding her brain. She didn't care as soon as her stomach grumbles with a cry of hunger.
Medora pulled out one of the pretzel bags and started munching. She almost forgot about her ankle, so she reached and grabbed the half-melted ice cubes in the bag and placed it on her ankle and laid down.
Medora continued to nibble on the salted goodies and started to drift off to sleep in a fetal position next to her fire. The last thing she thought of were all the dead people on the plane. Without another blink, darkness came over.

So ya. I don't know if anyone will read this chapter since I only got 1 read on the Leo chap (and that was probably me) so okay.
I can't post a fan art yet cuz I'm in the car but I'll do it as soon as I can. This chapter was over 1000 words.
What do you think of Medora? Why is she the only who survived the crash(assuming everyone is dead)?
Email me at izzybugg@hotmail.com or message me cuz I just realized you can do that...
I may change the title... Any ideas?
