↳ 𝐰𝐨𝐨𝐳𝐢 .

usually, the sun bombards you with its brightness. its rays scorching your skin, so much so that you don't like to spend more than a minute outside. today, however, you're soaking up the sun.

you smile at everyone that you see, throw in an occasional hello if they smile back at you. today is your day off from work, and you have plans to meet up with jihoon at a karaoke bar.

as unbelievable as it sounds, you scored a date with the guy that you've had a crush on ever since you started working at harmony records.

a wave of worry knocks the smile right off your face, along with your pleasant mood. you slow your strides. your feet remain unmoving, when your friend, jade, pulls at your arm.

"do i look okay?" you desperately inquire.

"yes, you look fine, (y/n)."

a bench supports you and jade's weight. somehow, jade's dragged you from the sidewalk to the bench without you even realizing it. perhaps she knows that you're creeping closer and closer towards a mental breakdown.

"so you're saying that i look fine, but not beautiful?" you look to jade for help.

"you look-" she starts, but you disrupt her thought.

"is my makeup blotchy, or is it my outfit? i rummaged through my closet like a psychopath, trying to find the best outfit for a first date. what i'm wearing is the best that i could do for today, but i could always go shopping. you know, i think that there's a boutique a few streets-"

"(y/n), calm down. you look absolutely gorgeous." she rubs your back in a circular motion.

"do i really?"

"yeah, you do. i'm sure jihoon will agree with me as soon as he sees you." jade pulls you into a hug that somehow makes you feel much better. "speaking of jihoon, you really like him, don't you? well, you called me in the middle of the night to talk about which outfit you should wear, how you should style your hair, and how you should do your makeup for today. you wouldn't do that if you didn't really like him."

"yeah, i like him a lot. that is why today's date needs to go well, jade. if today's date goes well, i might have a boyfriend soon." you spoke into her shoulder.

surprisingly, you're the first to pull away. after talking to jade, you feel ready to go on the very first date of your life.

"okay, then you probably shouldn't be late. let's go, (y/n)."
