Part 89

Oberoi mansion.
Still evening.
Tej and Shakti are back .
They find only Jhanvi and Kalyani.
There is no trace of Pinky anywhere....where could she be?
Jhanvi came to them,Tej hugging her.
She told Tej to go and have his dinner with Kalyani.
It was her plan,to have a private conversation with Shakti.

She told him,that her and Pinky went to the station today, because Pinky was being stubborn,when going there,they met Arpita and  found her culprit and even found the mastermind criminal behind the disappearance of their long lost child who was his ex fiancee Kamini who was his wife best friend and explained to him,who all this has affected Pinky.

She advises him to give her moral support because this revelation has made Pinky down and broken.

She goes to dining set to join the others.

Shakti on the other hand goes to his room.

He sends one of his maids to send food to him.

He goes to his room.

He finds Pinky asleep.

He gently caresses her hair without disturbing her sleep and kisses her forehead,telling her how much he loves her and she's the only one.

The maid,interrupts and brings him his food,but tells her to take away since he's lost his appetite because of the fiasco that has taken place.

Morning time.
Oberoi mansion.
Shinky room.
Pinky is awake,turns and doesn't find her husband she gets worried.

Then,Shakti comes in,with a tray of food,all her favorite dishes.

He goes to her.

"Shakti dear.....you shouldn't have......I should be the one serving you....not the other way around," Pinky explained.
"Why not.....where's it written only wives should serve husbands....anyways have it.....I know you haven't been okay....after going to the station," Shakti replied.

Pinky realized he knew.

"So I guess sister in law.... told you....right," Pinky replied.

Shakti nodded.

"Shakti.....do you think.....the universe is punishing me....for what happened years ago..... because.... perhaps...you and Kamini were meant for each other..... because I interfered with your relationship," Pinky said.

"No....dear....how can you think that way....I admit I love Kamini to the moon....but am happy how things turned up.....I ended up with you....a sweet and kind hearted soul....as of Kamini....I think she was a wolf in a sheep's clothing..... she's going to pay for what she has done to us.... always remember that I always will love you," Shakti replied.

"I love you too....Shakti," Pinky replied with tears on her cheeks.

He wiped them and gave Pinky the food and ate together.

Police station.
Prisoners were now lining up to be given their lunch, Arpita saw Karan sitting alone,she walked to him.

"May I," Arpita said.
Karan nodded.

There was silence,Karan noticed that she had something to say,he gave her the floor to speak her mind.

"Karan.....I never knew....you'll turn in your boss....but why?" Arpita asked.
"I found out...she was just using me.....I realized she wanted me to be her scapegoat.....but don't worry....I have told the inspector.....to release you..since you were just a victim of circumstance....you had nothing to do with this.....so that you can reunite with your sister Mahi," Karan explained.
"Thanks....but what about you....what if Kamini isn't caught....what next?" Arpita asked.
"I'll take all the blame..... because it's high time.....I take responsibility of my mistakes....that's why....I want to apologize to you," Karan replied.
"What for?" Arpita asked.
"For taking advantage of you situation......am sorry," Karan replied.
"It's okay.....I understand that...you wanted a good life for yourself," Arpita replied.
"But....I had no right....to take advantage of you... like that," Karan replied.
