Meeting Mr and Mrs Pincus 💕

Notes: I think this should be following on from my Truth Serum AU

They were finally home, the boat had stopped and their parents were just outside waiting for them. It was like a dream.

Sammy literally tackled her parents to the ground while Yasmina and her mother were gentle and seemed to talk through their own expressions more than words. Brooklynn ran to her mother and started a whole rant about public school and experiences. Darius was also reunited with his loved ones. It was a sweet sight but Kenji couldn't help but feel alone and like his existence was possibly ruining the moment as his father was well he had no one there to greet him, to say I missed you or a proper home to go to.

Ben was telling tales of their amazing and frankly life endangering days on the islands when he looked over at Kenji. The boys massive grin dropped when he noticed that Kenji was left alone and then he realised the reality of his situation.

"Kenji!!! Come on! Meet my parents!" Ben was yelling, dragging Kenji over to them.

Ben's mother was only a bit taller than Kenji with very light brown hair and freckles all over her face and arms. She looked kind, smile lines on her face and teary eyes from seeing her son again.

Ben's father was also teary eyed but he was much taller with darker brown hair, almost black, and stubble on his chin and upper lip. The man had the same kind look that the woman had, it was strange really, Kenji hadn't seen those types of people since his mother. 

"Mum, dad this is Kenji." Ben introduced him.

"Hi I'm Mrs Pincus lovely to meet you Kenji."
"And I'm Ben's Dad, it's great to meet a friend of his."

Kenji was beyond nervous and they didn't even know he was Ben's boyfriend. "Uh hi, it's great to meet you too Mr and Mrs pincus." Kenji said, internally cursing himself for being so awkward at the start but they simply smiled warmly at him.

Ben said he needed to talk to Kenji and lead him away from his parents. "Ben?" Kenji was concerned and well, afraid that after everything he could be dumping him.

"Where are you gonna go?" Ben asked, that wasn't what kenji was expecting to hear and he didn't understand what it meant.
"What?"
Ben took Kenjis hands in his, lifting them in-between them in an attempt to comfort his boyfriend before he said whatever he was going to say. "Ben?"
"Kenji your Dad, I, where will you go? Do you have other family?"
"Oh.... no I don't."

"Wait! I gotta go ask my parents something, stay here okay?" Ben told him, squeezing his hands before letting go to run back to his parents after Kenji nodded.

Mr and Mrs Pincus stood waiting patiently, confusion and concern spread across their faces as Ben started his what could only be described as some sort of determined speech.

When Ben had seemingly slowed down, his parents shared a meaningful look the turned to face Ben. Ben's father placing a hand on his shoulder and them both nodding. Ben sighed in relief at the same time he hugged his parents then quickly ran back over towards Kenji.

Ben practically threw himself into Kenji's arms but Kenji automatically reciprocated the hug. "I'll miss you too Jungle boy." He said. Ben looked up, sad for a second as he took in Kenji's words but what really shocked the taller boy was what his boyfriend said in response, "You don't have to.".

Kenji tilted his head, frowning. Ben looked slightly nervous but he could see the excitement that was also running through the boys veins. "You could stay with me, if you want."   "What do you mean?"

"My parents said you could stay with us."

"For how long?"

"However long you want."

Mr and Mrs Pincus watched the two young boys from afar, they could see the love between them. Kenji looked as if he might faint or cry. Tears dropped from his eyes and ran down his cheeks when he looked over and they smiled in conformation.

Ben wiped his boyfriends tears with his thumbs then leaned in to kiss him. The kiss was a simple press of lips but it held so much compassion and love. They walked over to Mr and Mrs Pincus and calmly planned out the moving and the paperwork process. Mr and Mrs Pincus promised that Kenji would be staying with them as soon as possible and everything would be sorted out, there was room for him already.
They even talked about schooling and everything else briefly but other than those topics they made sure that the children's arrival was as happy and carefree as could be.

All the friends exchanged phone numbers and addresses before saying their final goodbyes and going home.
