Chapter-12

The room was bathed in a gentle, cool breeze, causing the curtains to sway softly. Amidst the peaceful silence, a man, shirtless, sat on the edge of the bed, grappling with a storm of memories that haunted his mind, especially those of... Her. He clutched the corner of bed in his both hands while controlling the storm of thoughts in his mind. Those memories still haunt him even though they were beautiful as well but it always pushes him back into the past from which he wanted to overcome.

With a deep sigh, he rose to his feet, casting a lingering glance at his peacefully sleeping wife before slipping out into the quiet night. As the door clicked shut, Ellie's eyes fluttered open, she slowly sat back while her gaze fixed on the closed door and deep sigh escaped her lips. The gloom in her eyes spoke whole story as she stared at the door, lost in her thoughts. “how long Jungkook…….it's already been two years”.

 Inaudible words slipped down her lips before she inhaled shaky breath helplessly. She was married to Jungkook for two years, they both had a son whom Jungkook loved dearly but not mother. She always wishes for his love but Jungkook always treats her as the mother of his son but not his wife which always makes her feel helpless and agonized. She used to think Jungkook would be fine after the birth of their child but he didn't change.

He was a cheerful person when he was student but after breaking up with Anne, he turned so cold and serious. He always denied that he missed his old love but his behavior always makes everyone question him. Sometimes she persuades herself by giving herself hopes that maybe Jungkook has responsibilities and has become mature. That's why he's not like before but he was so cold to her which always breaks her heart.

Flashback of two years ago:

Ellie looked at Jungkook with full of love as he introduced her to his family smiling at them and her heart raced with happiness because he was going to be with her in a relationship. A big and strong meaningful relationship, he was going to marry her. She was shocked that she felt like it was a dream but she was startled when Jungkook looked at her. “I want to marry her”. Her lips parted and not just her lips but her eyes were also smiling realizing he didn't leave her when she needed him. He took her responsibility. “Do you agree with him Ellie?”.

She tossed her head towards his parents who were in front them and she nodded with a bright smile before looking back at Jungkook. “Yes, I completely agree with him”. She was sure to move on from him after the breakup but that incident made them both stand on the same spot where they both needed each other. But the way Jungkook was supporting her was melting her and she was unable to stay still against his care. “Then we also don't have any objection, but Ellie's parents approval is necessary as well”

Ellie shook her head lightly before Looking at his parents and spoke. “Don't worry, I'll inform them to meet you”. Jungkook's parents smiled while nodding and Jungkook stood up making everyone confused and Ellie looked at him who spoke with poker face. “I've something important to do, I'll be back soon”. His parents nodded as he walked away leaving Ellie confused who didn't mind thinking about it. Jungkook had a discussion about marriage with her last night which was sudden. She was confused as what just happened to him because he warned her not to come near him but he was the one to ask her about marriage but out of happiness she didn't ask or think anything.

Present : 

It was morning and Jungkook was getting ready for his office. He fixed his tie before fixing his collar looking at the mirror. “Jungkook”. Ellie called out to her husband hesitantly and all she heard was his low hum and she sighed before asking him, being nervous. “Actually”. The room was filled with an uneasy silence as Ellie stopped and Jungkook turned around, his expression serious, his movements deliberate as he buttoned his shirt's wrist.
