Chapter-18

Present : (Night)

Annie had just finished her shift and was finding solace in the familiarity of her kitchen. Today, her workload had been lighter, thanks to her fellow nurse who had taken care of the paperwork for Jungkook's father, as she had requested. She couldn't shake off the lingering disbelief that Jungkook was still as toxic as before but her heart ached for Ellie who was caught in the middle of it all.

Suddenly, the doorbell rang, jolting her out of her thoughts. She furrowed her brow in confusion as it was unusual for someone to visit her at such a late hour. With caution, she turned off the stove before stepping away and made her way to the front door. Peering through the peephole, her frown deepened as she saw Jungkook standing outside. She hesitated, unsure of his intentions but thought maybe he needed some help regarding his father's health.

As she opened the door, her breath caught in her throat as Jungkook forcefully pushed his way inside, swiftly locking the door behind him. Panic surged through her as she exclaimed. "What the f*ck!" As she backed away slowly, her heart pounded, she realized there was nowhere to escape. The wall behind her felt like a barrier, trapping her in that terrifying moment.

Her voice trembled as she mustered the courage to ask him. "W-Why are you here?" But his furious expression made her gasp in shock. Jungkook got closer to her caging her between his towering presence and the wall. The sight of his furious eyes made her whole body shake uncontrollably. "I hate you more than I loved you". The words he uttered declared his hatred for her, cut deep into her already wounded heart.

Her knees trembled under the weight of his words and she gasped in fear as he violently punched the wall beside her head. "I F*CKING HATE YOU!!!".  She flinched and shut her eyes, placing her trembling palms on his chest, trying to push him away. Tears welled up in her eyes as she was surrounded by the sheer terror of his presence. "Leave me". She pleaded but her plea was met with a horrifying grip on her hair.

He pulled her face closer to his gripping her hairs and seethed in anger. "She cried….she f*cking cried because of you. She heard what you said, she cried near my child, only because of you". Jungkook's violent behavior escalated. She was terrified for her life as he forcefully pulled her along, causing her to cry out in pain while desperately clinging to his arm.

Her fear intensified as she pleaded once again. "Let me go!". but he refused to let go, instead his grip grew harsher and more suffocated. she mustered the courage to confront him, her voice trembled with both shock and tears. She stumbled back with gasp as Jungkook let go of her with a harsh push but her heart fell into her stomach as he started throwing frames making them shattered.

She couldn't understand why he was behaving this way, why he was destroying everything around them. Her heart sank as he violently threw frames to the ground, shattering them into pieces. Without hesitation, she rushed towards him, desperately grasping his arm while her eyes filled with a mix of shock and terror. "What happened to you, why are you doing this!".

But he yanked his arm away as his gaze filled with anger and resentment. In a sudden and terrifying turn of moment, he grabbed her throat, causing her to struggle for breath, suffocating under his grip. "Whatever happened to me, you're the cause of it". The sheer intensity of the moment left her petrified while her eyes widened with terror. As he pushed her away, breaking more frames in his uncontrollable rage.

she was left feeling more terrified than confused. He lost his control seeing Ellie crying near his son alone in the room. He felt worse, more worse than ever and he couldn't bear if Annie was living a painless life while he was getting pain every next moment…..However, he failed to realize that he himself was the one causing pain to everyone involved.
