Chapter-17

Jungkook stood there in silence, his eyes were fixed on Ellie. His usual poker face revealed nothing, but his wife could sense the storm brewing beneath the calm facade. She let out a sigh, realizing that her statement had hit its mark. Her assumptions were right all along. A sad chuckle escaped her lips as she crossed her arms over her chest.

"You're still not over her, are you? Even after becoming a father," she said as her voice tinged with a mix of sadness and resignation. Jungkook's fists clenched as his glare directed at her, but she remained unfazed. Inwardly, she fought back tears, struggling to maintain her composure. A faint smile adorned her face masking the pain that welled up in her eyes.

"I can never be enough for you... You prove it every time, despite my efforts to be the best for you," she continued and her voice trembled slightly. Jungkook's jaw tightened, but he remained silent. There were no words of excuse he could give because everything she said was true, painful and shameful. He had been hiding it, his unresolved feelings for his ex-girlfriend.

"You always give me pain, Jungkook, Always," she uttered and her voice filled with a mixture of hurt and frustration. Shame washed over him but he felt powerless to change the situation. He watched as Ellie silently turned away, leaving his tormented soul in its wake, the flames of his emotions burnt his heart mercilessly.

After a few hours, Anne stepped outside of her office to check around the wards. It was already evening, she was still feeling nervous due to an encounter between her and Ellie. It was awkward around her because maybe or maybe not, Ellie knew that Anne treated her husband last night. She didn't look much at Ellie but she was feeling a stare of her when she was treating her father in law. It felt like she didn't expect her to be there but Anne had an idea that if not today, she will encounter Ellie some other day for sure.

It was impossible to believe that if she met Jungkook, she wouldn't meet Ellie. In Fact they were both still together. But what about her relationship?. She didn't know where she did wrong, which made Yoongi abandon her like that. As she walked silently through the corridor, she couldn't help but be drawn towards the distant sounds. Curiosity piqued and she followed the noises, And there, at the end of the corridor, she witnessed a heart wreaking sight that took her breath away.

Jungkook and Ellie stood on the stairs, locked in a passionate embrace. Their lips met with a fervor that spoke of deep longing and desire. Time seemed to stand still as they held each other, their bodies were pressed together as if they were the only two people in the world. Jungkook kissed Ellie's chin before trailing on her lips and sealed tightly while pulling her closer to himself tightly by her waist while she wrapped her arms around his neck enjoying that moment.

She didn't realize how their argument suddenly turned into a heated moment and shockingly it was Jungkook who initiated. She moaned and Jungkook swirled his tongue inside her mouth, pinning her both wrists above her head making a thud sound. He bit her bottom lip cupping her face making her stomach flipped who wanted to live in that moment forever. She felt like she got her Jungkook back.   

In that moment, it was as if all their arguments and disagreements had melted away, giving rise to an intense connection between them,  their gazes locked in a powerful exchange while breathing heavily. Anne watched as Jungkook gently cupped Ellie's face while his eyes filled with a mixture of adoration and longing. Jungkook rested his forehead on her panting heavily as he stroked her cheek so lovingly while his eyes………his eyes captivated his wife dangerously.

She wasn't even concerned if it was real or not. She was just seeing him as her husband whom she loved crazily. Anne standing there watched everything because she felt something in her heart…….Pain…. Loneliness…. heartbroken. She slowly turned around without making any noise and walked away from there with a heavy heart because everything reminded her of him……her husband. She considered herself unlucky, especially in love.
