Chapter-13

"We've to do some queries". Anne nodded as the doctor uttered. Doctor looked at Jungkook and his mother and asked politely. "Actually we've to make a report of a patient so one of you has to help with it". Anne didn't look at anyone, only at the equipment on the table. She hoped it wouldn't be Jungkook helping with the paperwork, but it was Jungkook who agreed. Little did she know, it would be Jungkook, as it mostly seemed to be the younger one helping with paperwork. The doctor looked at Jungkook and spoke.

"Please follow Mrs Min, she's in incharge". Jungkook nodded before he stood up and looked at Anne who looked everywhere but not him. "Please follow me sir". Deep down Jungkook was curious to see how she would react to seeing him close to her after such a long time. He smirked internally and followed her before looking at his mother. "I'll be back". His mother nodded and he walked behind the nurse who was way more nervous.

As they both stepped outside, Anne was ahead of Jungkook as she was leading him while Jungkook walked behind her silently. His eyes didn't move away from her figure. His heart was beating like crazy but his posture was firm. He stopped as she paused in the front cabin and unlocked it afterward. When they stepped into the cabin, that familiar fragrance hit him like a wave, and he was just frozen in the moment. It was like all those emotions and memories were rushing back. He came back from his trance when he felt she turned around to look at him and their locked eyes transporting them back to those painful memories, leaving everything else to fade away.

"Take your seat sir". His heart skipped a beat for a second when she treated him formally. She has changed really, he chuckled internally and sat on chair while she sat on her chair. She placed a file on the table and asked him questions without looking at him. "What's your relationship with the patient?". "He's my father". She hummed and wrote down every information related to the patient while Jungkook 's gaze was stuck on her. "Sign here". She passed the file towards him who finally tore his eyes away from her and nodded, taking a pen in his hand.

He signed while she tapped her feet in nervousness as it was her habit and Jungkook noticed it immediately. He passed her pen and file back and she sighed in relief internally as finally he would be out. Only she knew how nervous she was with him. "You work here?". He asked slowly and her stomach twitched with feeling. She didn't want any conversation with him except patient but he was going personal which made her anxious.

"You can leave". She let out avoided his eyes and he chuckled lightly. "what if I don't". She tossed her head at him and said firmly. "Please Mr Jeon, stay in the limit, you're in hospital". Jungkook looked into her eyes and she wasn't like the Anne who always melt seeing him but she was so firm. Her eyes, once filled with warmth, now held a firmness that Jungkook couldn't ignore.

The change in her gaze revealed a shift in their dynamic, a subtle but significant transformation. Jungkook felt a pang in his heart as he realized that Anne had truly moved on, while he was still holding on to their shared memories. His intense reaction, standing up aggressively, revealed the depth of his emotions. Her eyes flicker with sudden movement. He gazed at her for brief moments who slowly looked away from him and he slowly turned around leaving her alone while she was grappling with her own sufferings. She sighed deeply and looked down while holding onto her tears and whispered. "Why did you leave me yoongi"

Flashback :

Anne smiled as she turned holding on Yoongi's hand gently yet firm, Yoongi wasn't into it but she insisted him to create the moment which she saw in the movie. Yoongi smiled, placing his one hand in his pocket while she was enjoying dancing with him moving in a circular motion holding onto his other hand in air. Both of them were lost in the rhythm of the music. Yoongi couldn't help but smile back, his heart swelled with love as he watched her. She had a way of bringing out the joy in him, and in that moment, he knew he would do anything to make her happy.
