I kick the door down and it flies across the room. Without any hesitation I jump in and shoot. The target is dead and so is the figure next to him. I move closer to examine them. The target has its lifeless eyes open and a trickle of blood drips from its head, where I hit it. At his side... a woman... pregnant.

My head is starting to spin. I fall to my knees. What did I do?

"Mãe?" Mom?

There's a child around the corner. He looks terrified at his parents, at me and then back at them.

My breathing starts to quicken and I stand up. The child takes the opportunity and runs towards the door. For a few seconds I don't know what to do but then I teach it. I can't have you calling anyone. I take the stairs two by two and reach him in a few seconds. I grab his arm but he squirms, loses his balance and falls over the railing.

I didn't need to look, I heard the sound of his neck snapping.

I remain silent for what seems like hours.

I'm about to go crazy.

I told Winter everything. He is the only one who understands me, because he feels the same as me too. Too bad we both can't do anything. We also hold the knife on the blade side, but in some cases we hold the handle.

«Солдаты, приходите» Soldiers, come. A guard calls us.

I look at Winter worriedly. He was already looking at me, but his eyes soften for a few seconds when they meet mine.

The guards escort us to a place I've never been before. There are two small structures similar to glass coffins but they are horizontal. The guards beckon us to enter. I don't even hesitate and neither does Winter, there's no point in fighting. The glass falls on us and I look at Winter for the last time.

Suddenly everything becomes cold and dark. Too dark even for shadows.
