As the day came to an end, the VK's gathered in Jay and Carlos's room to go over their plan.
Athena sat on Carlos's bed in deep thought, twiddling her fingers as she stared into the space in front of her.
Mal's voice could be heard a short distance away from her.
She snapped out of her little bubble at the sound of her name.
"Athena, pay attention! This involves you, too!" Mal exclaimed, clearly frustrated and stressed from all their planning, and for that reason alone, Athena decided not to snap back and instead drag her way over to the table they were all crowding.
She looked down to see a map of the school, their main attention being on where Bens coronation would be taking place.
Mal huffed, both at her own tone and obvious tention. "Okay, we all know what this looks like. So it'll be up on the dais under the beast's spell jar, and we'll be coming in from here." She pointed.
"Athena," She called, bringing her attention to a surtain spot before she continued. "Will be in the very front. We will be up on the balcony. Okay. Carlos?"
Carlos looked up from the map to see the pointed look Mal was giving him before saying his piece. "Okay, so I'll find our limo, so we can break the barrier, and, uh, get back on the island with the wand." His hesitation on the last part being heard by everyone.
"Perfect." Mal congratulated before moving on.
"Evie?"
"Yeah?"
Mal brought out a blue perfume bottle. "You will use this to take out the driver. Two sprays, and he'll be out like a light." She said as she handed it over.
Evie held it in her hands, a conflicted look to her face before nodding her head, a clear indication of understanding.
They all separated into different parts of the room. Mal and Athena are the last to stay together.
Before Mal can walk away, Athena grabs her arm.
"Hey, can i borrow the book for a second?" Her question wasn't really a question, more so a demand, but Mal handed it over anyways, understanding why she might need it.
Athena placed the book down and flipped to a bsg that was left bookmarked, finding exactly what she was looking for.
Evie came up behind her in curiosity as she peered down at the book. "A? Do you want to break Ben's love spell?" Catching the attention of everyone else in the room.
Athena looked around at all the sudden attention of her. "Yeah. You know, for after. I dont know. If- When our plan works and all evil falls over Auradon. Ben, still being in love with me, just seemed a little... cruel. An unnecessary evil even." She tried to laugh it off, but you could still hear her voice crack as she spoke.
She grabbed the book, shooting Mal a thankful and watery smile before rushing out the room, ignoring Evie's call out of concern.
