Something that can never be taken away from you is your memories
This fact is something you can use to
Spite people
Find comfort in
Or instead it can haunt you
Memories are so precious
When all else erodes the only proof is what you remember
I find nothing more valuable
A memory is something you can carry forever
Keep it in your pocket, like a good luck charm
Or hang it above your bed, like a picture
Treat it like a blanket, curling up to it at night
It can be apart of your morning routine
Something that's always there
Unnoticed
But important
