Reader's POV

I walked outside of my house; I looked across the street at Aphmau's and didn't see her. Maybe she already went to school? I walked down the street listening to my music through earbuds. I looked around, viewing the various houses on the street. A guy was standing by a street lamp. Huh? Isn't that Laurance?

Looking right to left I made my way across the street. "Hey Laurance! What're you doing here?" I waved.

"Hm? Oh, hey Y/N, I was just waiting for Aphmau to walk to school."

"Really? I thought she already left?" I thought aloud.

"I haven't seen her walk by." Laurance confirmed.

"Well then, I'll wait with you."

"How was volleyball practice?" Laurance asked.

"Wh- How do you know about volleyball practice?" I asked, realizing I never spoke about volleyball to him.

"It's kinda hard not to listen in on Katelyn yelling and ordering you guys around. I just so happen to have soccer practice on the field next to you guys."

"I didn't realize you also had soccer practice on the same day."

"Yeah, anyways how's Katelyn been treating the team?" Laurance asked.

"Everything's been great, although I do think Captain Katelyn has it in for me... She's always pushing me to my limits while the rest of the team just watches..." I sighed, thinking back to how I completed 50 push-ups while the rest of the team gawked.

"That's Katelyn all right." Laurance chuckles.

I nodded.

"L-Laurance!" Aphmau catches our attention.

"Hey Aphmau, walking to school today?" Laurance asks.

"Y-Yep! Just walking to school today! Anyway, It-It's great to see ya! You too Y/N!" Aphmau nervously laughs.

I raised an eyebrow at her behavior.

"Heh, it's great to see you too, you seem more... jumpy than usual..."

I nodded my head in agreement.

"I do? Huh, well, that's probably because I had a really crazy weekend! Hehe!"

Then it clicked. Aphmau's first kiss with Garroth at the Ro 'Meaves.

"Really? Wanna talk about it?" Laurance asked with curiosity.

"No! I-I mean... I'd rather talk about what you did this weekend, heh." Aphmau switched the conversation off of her.

"N- Sure."

As we were walking to school, Laurance talked about how him and the soccer team were practicing really hard for their upcoming game.

We finally made it to the fountain when Aphmau commented on Laurance's weekend. "Sounds like you had a crazy weekend, soccer practice sounds brutal."

"Yeah, but I like it. By the way, Garroth told me you're into soccer."

"You are?" I asked Aphmau.

"H-He did?!" Aphmau stuttered at the mention of Garroth's name.

"Yeah, you should've told me sooner."

"I didn't know you liked soccer, Aph."

"Sorry! Heh, just didn't cross my mind! D-D-D-Did Garroth tell you anything else?" Aphmau asked nervously.
