This is not Drarry but Jegulus, Regulus is a singer at a bar where James is bartender
James smiled wiping the glasses dry as he looked at his friends. "who's on the stage?" Sirius asked. "I have no idea, but he's good." James smiled. "he hasn't even sung yet." Remus said. "he looks like he's good in it and the boss wouldn't hire him if he was bad." James said. Peter glanced at him as he approached the bar. "are you open yet?" he asked. "no, these are my friends they come here every night before we open." James said. he hummed and glanced at Sirius. "what do you sing?" Peter asked. "my own songs." He replied. "oeh, can we hear?" Sirius asked. "I don't perform before it's open." The man replied. "what's you name?" Remus asked. "Regulus." he said. "is that an artist name?" James asked. "no it's my name, chosen name though." he said. "you changed your name?" Sirius asked. "I'm trans." He replied. Sirius smiled. "I should go." Remus said and placed a kiss on each one of his friend's cheeks, "you coming Sirius?" he asked. "sure." Sirius said and grabbed his hand. "I'll go too, good luck." Peter kissed James's cheek and left. "what's your name?" Regulus asked when the front door closed. "James." He said. Regulus smiled. "what night do you work?" he asked. "every Saturday and Thursday." James said. "I perform those days." He smiled. James smiled back at him. "need some help?" James glanced at the stage. "I have everything set up." he said. James nodded and put away the last glasses. "since when do you perform?" James asked. "it's actually my first performance ever, but I've been singing for years." Regulus said. "you nervous?" James asked. Regulus nodded. "it's going to be fine, the public isn't that picky, surely not when they're drunk and snogging." James replied. "this is a gaybar right?" Regulus asked. "yes it is, everyone here, including the bartender is twinky as fuck." he replied. the smaller boy smiled. "want a drink?" James asked. "sure, just some water please." He said. James nodded and grabbed a glass and some water. "here you go." He said. "thanks." He said and took a sip. "so are you single?" James asked. "yeah, bit of a busy life, writing songs, singing them and stuff." Regulus said. James smiled. "you?" Regulus asked. "I'm single, but I do have a son." James said. "a son? You're nineteen." Regulus said. "twenty five and he was an accident he's 6 years old." Regulus nodded. "what's his name?" Regulus asked. "Harry." James said. "that's a wonderful name." he said with a smile. James nodded and leaned against the bar. "what time do you open?" he asked. "half an hour." James said. he nodded. "do you have any siblings?" Regulus asked. "nope, you?" he asked. "I have a brother. I haven't seen him since school." Regulus said. "oh, that's sad." James said. "I don't mind, he left me alone in an abusive household." Regulus said. James seemed to have lost his ability to talk. "anyways, here." Regulus said and handed James the empty glass. "you know, my best friend grew up in an abusive household." James said. "oh." Regulus said. "he had to leave his sister and he regrets it, but he was almost dead when he showed up on my doorstep. Maybe your brother regrets it too?" James suggested. "I doubt it." Regulus said.
James closed the doors and looked at the stage where Regulus was cleaning up. "it was good." James said. "I missed a few notes." Regulus replied. "so? I didn't hear it and the others certainly didn't either." He replied. Regulus sat down on the barstool. "where did you get the inspiration of the love songs?" James asked. "I was in love with someone who played soccer in high school, and he didn't notice and I wanted to tell him, but he had a girlfriend who was a cheerleader." Regulus replied. "oh that's a tragic love story." James said. "I wrote it when I was fifteen, I still had a girl voice when I first sang it." he said. "is it rude to ask what your birth name is?" James asked. "I don't usually tell people." he said. "that's fine." James shrugged. "my birth name is Regina." He said. "and your brother is by any chance Sirius?" James asked. he nodded. "wow, you changed." James said. Regulus shrugged. "how'd you know, it was me. You knew it was me before I told you my name." Regulus said. "the sentence 'the price of your greed is your son and your daughter' you once wrote it in one of your French poems, you gave your book to Sirius." James said. "one of my lost song texts." He said. James smiled. "so you live close?" James asked. "no it's an hour drive. You?" Regulus asked. "just upstairs, my parents own this place and it's easier for Harry." James said. "doesn't he wake up from the music?" he asked. "no he's quite the heavy sleeper and we have amazing isolation." James said. Regulus smiled and put his stuff down. "if you need a place to sleep we have an extra room." James said. the door opened and Harry walked in. "Harry sweetheart it's four in the morning, what are you doing?" James asked. "there's a monster under my bed." he sobbed into James's arms. "I better leave." Regulus said. "oh come on it's four in the morning!" James said. "alright if you insist." He said. James smiled and they walked upstairs. "there's no monster under your bed." James said. "but I had a dream." Harry said. "it's not real." He said Harry glared at James. "I'll put you back to bed and I'll check underneath your bed." James said. "no! I wanna sleep in your bed." Harry said. "you know I don't like that, you've already slept for hours, I'm super tired." James said. Harry pouted. "come on." James said and put him to bed. "what if he comes back?" Harry asked after James checked for monsters. "you tell him to leave." James said. Harry nodded and closed his eyes again. James walked towards the living room. "do you invite your singers over often?" Regulus asked. "nah only the good looking ones." James smiled. "hm? How many?" Regulus asked. "I've hooked up with one, but that's it." James replied. "so you want to hook up with me?" Regulus asked. "I didn't say that." James said. "you just don't want me." Regulus said. "I didn't say that either, I'm done with the random hook ups, I want to have a real relationship." James said. "you fancy someone?" Regulus said. "a bit, but I'm sure he wants to beat the crap out of me, since that's what he wanted in my teenage years too." James said. Regulus chuckled and looked into his eyes. "you?" James asked. "oh I uh, it's complicated." Regulus said. "there's a room at the end of the hallway, but you can always sleep in my bed." James said. Regulus smirked and walked towards James's room. "who is that song about then? The soccer guy." James asked. "those are my secrets." Regulus said. a little smile played on James's lips as they entered his room and lied on his bed. "until what time do you sleep?" Regulus asked. "eight, but I have an early bedtime tomorrow." James said. he nodded and climbed in James's arms. "Reg, I like you a lot." James said. "I know, I like you too." Regulus said. James smiled and placed a kiss on his lips.
James looked at his friends with a smirk. "so he's a regular performer?" Sirius asked. "yeah, my parents hired him for the days that I work." James said. "and that's coincidence?" Peter asked. "it wasn't." James said. Regulus entered. "hi." He smiled and walked over to the bar. "hi." James said and placed a kiss on his lips. Sirius rolled his eyes. "jealous Pads?" James asked. "absolutely not." Sirius replied grabbed Remus's hand. James chuckled and looked at Regulus's swaying hips as he climbed on the podium. "I think Regulus looks like you." Peter said. "half London is related to me." Sirius said. James chuckled. "you should stay tonight. He's really good." James said. "in bed or singing?" Remus asked. "I haven't had sex with him, Harry's still in the house." James said. "which I still think shouldn't stop you from having fun." Peter said. James scrunched up his face.
"James!" Sirius yelled over the music. "yes?" he asked. "he's singing stuff my sister made." Sirius said. "yeah I know, like you said half London is related to you." James said. "no." Sirius said and he walked up to the podium. He climbed the stairs and hugged Regulus who jumped because he hadn't seen Sirius coming. "I'm sorry." He whispered. Regulus turned away from the microphone. "it's alright, but please let go of me, I'm working." Regulus said. "whatever you call work." Sirius chuckled. "it pays really good." He said and turned back to the microphone. "idiot." He whispered before singing the rest of his song.
