Harry sat down at the table with his fork clenched in his hand staring at Ron and Hermione who were chatting about how cool Halloween had been. There had been a party in the Room of requirements and Harry hadn't even been invited. He wouldn't have come. but he would've appreciated the invite. "who organized this party?" Harry asked. "Padma Patil." Hermione said. he nodded and looked back at his plate. "it's not our fault you didn't want to come." Hermione said. "I wasn't even invited." Harry replied. "that's because everyone knows you hate Halloween." Ron said. "an invitation would've been nice." Harry said and walked away from his table. He hurried towards the bathroom where Moaning Myrtle had resided for years, she had left after the war and decided to go try to find her family. The bathroom still wasn't used because people were scared she would pop up again. so it was just mainly Harry who was there. he always went there to calm down, not to actually do his business. He locked himself up in a cubical and opened a book he was reading and whistled the song his dad had taught him, James had died during the second war. His mother had died long before that. when he was about to whistle the second part he heard someone else do it. "who is there?" Harry asked. there was no reply. "where did you learn to whistle this?" Harry asked. "I learned it from my mom's cousin." The person next to him replied. Harry smiled. "why are you here?" Harry asked. "I'm here to calm down, you?" Harry thought about what he had to answer. "I needed to be alone." He replied. "who you?" the voice asked. "Harry Potter." He said completely oblivious that the stranger hadn't given him his name. "wow, I didn't expect that." he said. Harry looked down. "you have a beautiful whistle." Harry said. a light almost unheard chuckle left the other boy. "where did you learn it?" the stranger asked, my dad. He always whistled it to me, said it was his love language." Harry said. another chuckle was heard. "why are you out here whistling it?" the boy asked. "because I wanted to feel close to him." Harry replied. "I have to go for classes, but I'd like to talk more." The boy said. "yeah, sounds fun." Harry replied. "I am sorry that I can't tell you who I am, I am too much of a coward." The boy said. "that's okay, do you at least have a name? so that I can have a name when I think about you?" Harry asked. "call me Diego." The boy replied. "okay." Harry nodded and walked away after saying goodbye.
The months went on where the two talked and got to know each other, so had Harry learned that 'Diego' and him were in the same year and they talked about their parents. about friends who weren't named and how they both felt after the war. Harry had felt lonely despite the fact that everyone constantly walked around him. Diego felt quite hated and sad. But with each other they forgot all their problems. "hi." Harry was startled when the familiar voice was heard. "I didn't hear you enter." Harry said. "too caught up in reading?" Diego asked. "no, I was thinking." Harry said. "oh that sounds rather rare for you." Diego joked. Harry chuckled and looked at his feet. "I know it might sound strange, but over these months we've been talking I think I have fallen in love." Harry said. "with who?" Diego asked, his voice sounded weird almost jealous. "you, idiot." Harry said. there were a few moments of silence. "Harry, really like you too. But you don't know what I look like, you don't know who I really am." Diego said. "that's okay, I like you because you're quite mysterious and from what you've said. I really like you." Harry said. "okay, I like you too, a lot." Diego said. Harry smiled and looked at his hands. "so what about a date, tomorrow here. we don't have to look at each other." Harry said. "okay, sounds great. Weird question, but can I have a piece of your toenail?" Diego asked. Harry frowned. "what do you need that for, do you have a fetish?" Harry asked. "no, I want to give you a surprise and I need a toenail of yours to make it." Diego said. "you've thought about this?" Harry asked. "I didn't want to sound invasive, but I've wanted to do ask you for weeks. I'm a coward. I have thought about this present and it's almost ready." Diego said. "okay, but promise to not go sell it to people who do have a fetish or just are collectors." Harry said. "of course not." Diego laughed.
