***GRACES POV***

It's been two days since Miss Anderson brought over a friend to stay with us and honestly it's been a lot of help, at first when it was just me and Miss Anderson here things were tense and not in a good way.

I sat in the living room on the couch while Miss Anderson and her friend talked in the kitchen. About something I was truly not interested in until I heard my name.

"Grace" I heard Phoebes voice call out to me I sighed and put down the book I was reading before making my way to the kitchen. If it was Miss Andersons calling I would've just ignored her but Phoebe has been nothing but polite since she met me. "I was called?" I said walking over the kitchen counter when they were standing by the refrigerator talking.

Phoebe turned to look at me "Do you like parties?" She asked I glanced over at Miss Anderson who had a look one that said she clearly doesn't want me involved in whatever they're about to do.

This was definitely the perfect moment to stick it to her. I turned my attention back towards Phoebe "That depends, are you inviting me?" I asked "I am, there's a party happening this week are you interested?" She asked.

This week I'm to go somewhere with my father and grandfather so even if I wanted to attend I couldn't.

"I'm sorry I have plans this week" I said Miss Anderson looked happy to hear that while Phoebe was Pretty bummed. "Aw too bad, thanks for indulging me anyways" she said "Yeah sure anytime" I said before grabbing a juice from the refrigerator and leaving. As I was leaving I heard them starting to talk again "Well that sucks" said Phoebe "That's what you get for trying to annoy me" said Miss Anderson.

So it was to get under her skin, now I'm even more bummed.

The week I was supposed to go with my father and grandfather came around and as I was tucking my white shirt into my black fitted dress pans and fixing the cufflinks on the ends of my long sleeved dress shirt in front of the mirror I heard my phone ringing.

I immediately walked over and grabbed it seeing that it was a call from my father. I picked up the phone and answered it. "Hello?" I said "Yeah Grace?" He replied "Yes?, what's wrong?" I asked "Nothing I was just calling to tell you plans have changed there's a party the manger suggested we go to apparently there will be some big investors there tonight" he said.

I sighed, investor parties are the bane of my existence, I hate having to kiss their asses just to get them to say they'll partner with Saintclair industries.

Having to cater to every rich old man request until they sign a contract with us is exhaustingly irritating. "Ok just give me the address and I'll be there" I said "No need we'll come and get you, Be ready" he said before hanging up the phone. I huffed loudly before throwing my phone onto the bed. Right now I was the only one home Miss Anderson and her friend had already left for their party in which I'm really regretting not going to right now.

It was pretty late already so there was no use in changing my mind now.

I walked back over to the mirror and grabbed my suit jacket that was hanging from it but pulling it on and fix my collar.

My hair was already pulled back into a sort of man bun. I had recently got a new hair cut and I kind of wanted to show it off after washing the dye from my hair.
